About me

I’m Matt! I started playing Dungeons and Dragons when my first son was born. He had some extra needs when he was a baby which caused us to have to take shifts to feed him at night. Long boring nights led me to 2 things, arma and d&d on roll20. I applied to about 10 different games finally landing on a Lost Mines campaign. That group was lovely, but it fell apart. I then turned to my discord group and asked if anyone was a dm as I wanted to finish lost mines. Turns out we had 1. A group of us joined and that too fell apart. At that time I decided I would try my hand as a dm. I ran a few one shots, then I wrote a very basic sloppy story. My discord group loved it so I worked on a dark souls themed story. Both of those games completed! I have written a level 1-5 world that is the start to a 3 part series to take them to level 12. I would like to run modules in order to gain perspective on my world building. I have whatever the $100 a year sub is on roll20 but also would like to see other VTTs. I typically use dungeon draft, dungeon alchemist, and provided roll20 maps, but also want to learn more tools. There are 2 things I really want to do. I want to play in an irl group (never have), and I would like to finish lost mines! In all seriousness I love d&d and I love new players and diversity as they bring new ideas to campaigns. I also love old players. Discrimination is a hard no at my table and a session 0 will happen for each campaign to lay out ground rules with the group.
