About the adventure
In the Land of Mists life is dark. Horrors persist and hope fades. Barovia suffers under a vain Lord and a wave of monster attacks that seem intent on exterminating the populace. Darkon disappears night by night swallowed up by The Shroud, an opponent no blade can pierce. The realm of Har'Akir has more undead than living wandering it's sandy dunes as the lord Ankhtepot searches tirelessly for the remnants of his soul. Perhaps this is the way things are, but what if we could make a difference? What if Evil didn't have to win? Join Van Richten's Monster Hunting Corp and together we can bump off the things that go bump in the night! This is an open sandbox game through the Land of the Mists. It will be a horror campaign with plenty of combat and strong encouragement for roleplay. I've been a DM for a long time and I like for my heroes to feel like heroes. As such I'm a rule of cool DM drawing from 30 years of experience and multiple editions of the game and lore.

Hi! I've been Gming ttrpgs for 29 years, and I love it. I build sandbox worlds that shift and change around the players; where you can go anywhere and adventure is just around the corner. I excel at helping players build backstories and weaving them into the game. As a GM I truly believe that the table top is about bringing the player's story to life, and making that happen is my favorite part of ttrpg. It's important to me to run an inclusive, safe table. Creating your character
I like for my players to feel like heroes. Because I use Above VTT as my VTT character creation will use D&DBeyond and 2024 rules, however I prefer rolling stats (4d6 drop the lowest) if you roll below a 9 on a stat you may reroll. Starting level will be 3. Using the Crooked Moon, Grim Hollow, or Ravenloft books are recommended.
