About the adventure

Few remember the great calamity that put the world in such disarray. As descendants of the survivors, you are tasked with exploring, scouting, and rebuilding the land and its society. Much has been forgotten of the world outside the city walls, and who knows what dangers or opportunities await those brave enough to explore. The future of civilization depends upon your help! This is a West Marches-style sandbox and mapmaking game. Each session will consist of a standalone mission chosen by the players, narrated and refereed by the DM. Together, players will chart their explorations on a shared map, and help build the world through their choices. Other players at other tables may also affect the world, and the map will grow in size and detail. Drop in for one or two sessions, or stick around to see the whole story unfold. Beginners are welcome, and encouraged to try something new! Even the smallest act can change the future...

About me

I've been DMing for years, and especially love to focus on the storytelling and roleplaying aspects of DnD. If you haven't done much role play, or are a little nervous about starting, don't worry- I'll provide you with tools and prompts to help you bring your character to life (no acting skills required).

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll be making level 3 characters in DnD Beyond. I can walk new players through the process, or choose from a list of several pre-made characters. Do not worry about creating a long or elaborate backstory. This can end up making your character (as well as you the player) siloed and frustrated. Instead, focus on your character's build, their personality, and what draws them to explore an unknown land.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Accounts required in Discord, Google, and Dnd Beyond. I'll provide all necessary invites upon booking!

What Brackett brings to the table

Music is a big part of my life, and I can't imagine playing TTRPGs without it. I like to use Tabletop Audio, which allows players to individually control volume and other elements. I love bringing characters to life through role play and voices. For combat, I prefer cool moments over strict rules.

Safety

How Brackett creates a safe table

Player safety and comfort is more important than any element of this game. I'll go over my lines and veils regarding different topics, and invite players to share their own, either privately or with the group. Regular check-ins are standard for my games, and I'm happy to adapt any part of the game to fit the needs of my fellow players.
