About the adventure
A cursed land chokes on ancient crimes: witches burned but not gone, saints with broken halos, and a faith that hides more knives than prayers. Hell presses close to the skin of reality, and every miracle leaves a scar. You are people caught between hunger and fear, hedge-mages, oathbreakers, zealots, and fools who reached too far. Each choice pulls you closer to forces that will not let go. You can turn away, but something worse may take your place. This is a game of grim folklore, creeping horror, and desperate ambition. Expect grotesque wonders, cruel bargains, and a world that remembers what you’ve done. Faith will fail you. Power will betray you. And damnation may be the only honest reward. Come if you dare. Bring your courage. Leave your innocence behind.

About me
Welcome Adventurers! I have been playing and running TTRPG for 20 years. I try to make my games as immersive as possible by using a massive collection of ambient music, character voicing, and even some cosplay nights! I love learning new systems and games so nothing is off the table! If you have some obscure or niche game that you would like to play I am always down to try it out. I have run very complex games like EXALTED to very simple games like Goblin Quest and my preferred style is somewhere in the middle with a heavy focus on narrative and fun at the table.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character Creation Guidelines - Come with 2–3 character ideas. This world is cruel, magic is dangerous, and death is common. Characters may not survive long and that’s part of the story, not a failure. - Make someone desperate, not destined. Your character should want something badly enough to risk damnation: relief from hunger, forbidden knowledge, forgiveness, power, or escape, etc. - Keep your backstories short and sharp. A few strong details matter more than a long history. The world will carve the rest into you. - Assume the world does not care about you. There are no chosen ones. Survival comes from caution, cleverness, and knowing when to run. - Links to character creation tools will be provided in your prep materials after joining. If (or likely when) a character dies, the story continues. The land always needs another soul.

What Jonny | Badger Den Games brings to the table
All the books and materials you will need! I enjoy using different voices to denote a variety of caricatures and making use of ambient sounds and music to help set the tone for the session. I don't expect players to use different character voices (but your welcome to) and the volume of background music/ambiance can be adjusted by the player to fit their comfort level. I am definitely a Rule of Cool GM but the rules are there for a reason and I will generally stay within reasonable bounds of them.
Homebrew rules
House rule options will be discussed at session zero in collaboration with all players.
