About the adventure
Adventure calls in the city of Greenwater, dark clouds gather over the horizon and the once pristine emerald water of the Greenwater Rush now lies tainted with blood. Join your fellow heroes in the pursuit of the Varkanians, a blood-thirsty vampire cult on the rise, terrorizing the citizens and neighboring villages of the riverside. Explore ancient ruins, haunted villages, battle in rainy alleyways and eavesdrop on secret conversations in hidden rooms. This game is a short campaign that will take you from level 3 to level 7 in a High Fantasy / Urban Fantasy story of the battle of good vs evil and mortals vs vampires. It is completely homebrew, both setting and adventure, and while you can certainly expect some Gothic Horror and Urban Fantasy, this ain't no Curse of Strahd and the main aim is still classic DnD High Fantasy vibes.

About me
Heya, I'm Ziz, and I've been playing TTRPG's for over 10 years, and DM'ing for just over 8 of those. I've always loved fantasy stories, reading and telling them and experiencing them in games and books. I love high fantasy and DnD 5e but I've dabbled in other systems, you can expect a fun game where I do my best to incorporate player ideas and stories into the emerging narrative as we work together to make a fun, and comfortable experience for everyone at the table. I love sharing this hobby with new people and trying my best to give them the best impression of it, I genuinely think that there's not a person out there who can't have fun with at least one kind of TTRPG. My goal is first and foremost for people to have a fun, safe, and comfortable time at my table where we can create cool, fun, and memorable stories together.

Creating your character
Characters ideas should be created before session 0, but ideally we can work together as a party to flesh out or create characters in session 0 and the week before session 1. Start at Level 3, we will be using the DnD 5e 2014 rules. Modified Point Buy All Official content and sources are allowed (no UA) All the details will be discussed upon joining
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Owlbear Rodeo for a VTT, and Discord for communication. Links to both will be provided after joining. You are expected to have a working microphone and PC to use for the platforms mentioned; Cameras are welcome but optional.

Homebrew rules
Healing potions: Can be used as a Bonus Action to drink them yourself, rolling for the HP they recover, but you can use a full Action to drink a health potion, restoring the max amount of HP from it. Crit Damage: Take the max damage of all your dice, then roll them and add it up.
