About me

Hi! My name is Braden, and I'm a 20 year long player and lover of D&D, and now going on 5 years as a DM. I started DMing for a group of mostly family, and have completely fallen in love. A huge fan of CR and D20, I decided to start with my own world and homebrew everything from scratch, which was extremely difficult, but unbelievably fulfilling. I'd love to meet new people who share a passion for TTRPGs and expand my horizons to new campaigns, settings, and maybe even other systems as well! I look forward to playing with you!

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll be using 2014 rules, and characters should be created and ready prior to the first session. Anything from a pre-built to a fully customized character is great! For a long duration, fully homebrew campaign like this, I enjoy a deeply customized backstory, and am happy to create or customize hometowns, NPCs, and even organizations to better immerse you and your character in the world! We can work together to make sure your ideas for your character are fully set in the world, just as it should be for a character who has lived and breathed the world of Eryss their whole life!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Having a character ready to go is most important, but I am happy to help with every aspect of that process! Nuts and bolts, you'll need: A DnDBeyond account (I have content sharing ready) A Discord account, and the application installed. A reliable computer and internet connection. A dedicated microphone and headphones (headsets are great!). Webcams are preferred, but by no means required.

What Braden Wagster brings to the table

I have a full suite of character creation content available for sharing on DnDBeyond where we will create our characters, and a thorough understanding of Foundry VTT which we will use to play the sessions. I will provide a fully developed homebrew world to explore, and deep customization for your characters. I'm also happy to help teach you both the DnD 5E (2014) system from the ground up, as well as how to use Foundy VTT, which we'll use for everything from dice rolls, to combat, to sharing lore!

Homebrew rules

I use a few standard Homebrew rules including Flanking, Bonus Action Potions, and a few spells added to DnDBeyond. I'm also happy to work with you on customizing spells, features, feats, and more to make your character math your ideas!

Safety

How Braden Wagster creates a safe table

We will use a Lines and Veils document to ensure that troubling topics are disclosed prior to actual play. We'll cover the details during our Session 0, and you can always contact me with any questions or concerns.
