About the adventure
New Liberty, shining oasis in the Alazona desert. Where the territory ends and the wilderness begins. For some it is opportunity, hope, a new start. For others it is obligation, retribution, or an appointment with the hangman's noose. Whatever their reason for being on the train the party finds themselves caught in the middle of a train robbery. Not just their valuables but the whole train? Beginners welcome! LGBTQIA+ Friendly

About me
Hello! I'm Kendra and I've been playing Dnd for just over four years now. Started with minis and grid paper maps and now live on DndBeyond. I was at four different tables until recently. Each table had a different vibe. From the old school pen and paper table that tracked encumbrance, coin spent, and the wording for every mechanic of the game. To the completely remote game that would die of boredom if they had to count arrows and live by the rule of cool. The moment I started playing I was hooked and bee lined into DMing. I am most familiar with DndBeyond and Discord. I can run modules and I really enjoy homebrew. I have experience with several levels of players but mostly beginners and intermediates. LGBTQIA+ friendly, and have experience with all female parties.

Creating your character
Characters are built on DnDBeyond so we can use the DnDBeyond maps. You are welcome to have characters ready but there will be time set aside for character creation during session zero, especially for beginners.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A Discord and DNDBeyond account is needed. I will send links to the discord server and DnDBeyond Campaign. We will be playing through the lobby on the discord, no webcam needed.
What Kendra brings to the table
I am hear to guide you through the story's basic frame work, from there it will be player driven. I try to stick to the rules especially when there is a newer player that is still learning. I will go over how the rule functions as written but I will use the rule of cool and make sure new players understand why. DndBeyond will be used for maps and travel scenery (so the maps don't time out on us). NPC's picture and name spellings will be put on discord chat. Insights information and Patron/Deity communications will be over discord PMs.
Homebrew rules
Nat 20's give advantage on the next roll If you fail all your death saves you have 3 options: 1-Coma, each day in game must achieve a DC20 CON Save to wake up. You can be healed up to full HP but won't wake up until you make the save or someone casts a restoration spell on you 2- Deal with a deity - demon or god makes a deal to heal you 3 - you choose to let them die Out of spells? You can still cast a spell but it will cost you a point of exhaustion per spell level. Beyond exhaustion points will cost you death saves. Example: level 4 spell - 4 points of exhaustion, level 6 spell - dead but you have your death saves, level 7 spell - dead and lost one death save, Level 9 spell - dead dead, triggering the 3 choices above for death. Drinking a potion is a bonus action, giving someone else a potion is an action Thunderwave is a 15ft cube out in front of you All of these are open to discussion
