About the adventure

On the dying planet of Athas, water is worth more than gold. The gods are silent, and magic has ruined the land, perhaps even beyond repair. Far from the tyranny of the sorcerer-kings of the Tablelands, and hidden behind psionic mirages, the hidden village of Twinscythe has prospered in absolute secrecy. You play as one of several warriors, born & raised in Twinscythe, to venture into the desolate deserts of the Tablelands, in desperate search for a way to restore the drying wells of your village to their former glory. Or, perhaps you search for a new sanctuary for your people.

About me

Greetings. I'm Mete0r, I'm 25, and I'm an avid roleplaying games player and host. I've been GMing homebrew settings and campaigns for my friends for over 7 years. I figured I should bring my skills to bear here as well. My persona is a mutant dragon (read: my dorky fursona) and I am rather open about the fact I'm a scalie. With that said, my games often involve or promote the participation of anthropomorphic or monstrous characters... because they're just cool. I started with D&D 5e, and have no qualms with running it again for a group in need... but I must admit, I prefer PF2e for most of my tabletop gaming. I run on the Forge, and JUST the Forge, please. Love that VTT too much to deal with the headache of roll20.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players are encouraged to use the following: RACES: (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:) - Human - Elf (ACCEPTABLE:) - Dwarf - Thri-Kreen CLASSES: (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:) - Fighter - Psi Warrior - Gladiator (UA) - Samurai - Rogue - Scout - Soulknife - Ranger - Hunter - Monster Slayer - Psion (UA) - Metamorph - Telepath - Psykinetic - Psi Warper (ACCEPTABLE:) - Any other psionic-themed subclasses such as the Aberrant Mind Sorcerer or the Astral Self Monk. You are playing as a talented warrior, psionic or otherwise, of the village of Twinscythe. You may be of any age (such as a young prodigy seeking recognition and honor, or an old hand, looking to watch over the warriors or be of use to the village in their old age). Twinscythe is a community founded by ex-slaves, primarily of human and Thri-kreen descent. However, every now and then, a foundling discovered in the desert by hunters, or explorers happening upon a wounded stranger, will bring the odd Dwarf or Elf to the village. Twinscythe is too far away from what jungles remain on Athas for Halflings to be reasonably playable.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please have a working microphone, a Discord account, a Forge VTT account to connect to the Foundry server, and a PC.

What Mete0r brings to the table

I'm a digital artist. I'll draw headshots of your characters, and as you make major progress in the story, I'll even make art pieces of the party together. This way, you'll always have something to remember the adventure by... or an even cooler token.

Homebrew rules

Roll your characters' stats! At character creation, make 3 sets of roll-in-order stats, and select the desired stat spreads for the character that you or the dice have decided. Low-roll protection in place to keep you from making an unplayable character. We will also be utilizing some slightly tweaked wilderness survival rules, to fit the harsh landscape of the Tablelands, such as tracking water.
