About the adventure
In the grim and grinding world of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, danger waits in alleyways, forests, and even behind a smiling neighbor’s door. This introduction is designed as a welcoming first step into the Old World, using a single short adventure to teach the system and tone before unfolding into a full campaign shaped by the party’s personalities and experiences. What begins as a simple first step reveals the truth of the setting: survival is earned, trust is rare, and even small victories leave lasting scars. Players may first find themselves solving a lighthearted mystery in a cheese monger’s cluttered home, chasing rumors, lies, and suspicious smells, or they may be drawn into darker work, such as laying to rest the tormented soul of an ancient warlord whose name history tried to forget. This opening adventure acts as a gateway, introducing investigation, danger, and tragedy/comedy in manageable steps, while quietly planting seeds once the true campaign begins. By the end of the introduction, the party will understand not only the rules, but the soul of Warhammer: a world where laughter fades quickly, but can echo for eternity. When the larger campaign begins, it will not feel like a fresh start, but a continuation of a story already stained with hard-won experience and comradery. Session zeros will be free of charge and will go over both expectations, character creation, and tutorials and explanations for playing the game. Joining part way through the campaign is acceptable, but any player who joins within 24 hours of the session will have to wait until the next session to join, just for the sake of easing into the campaign.

About me
Hello future heroes! I have been Dungeon Mastering for close to 5 years now and have been playing TTGs for the past decade. DND5e is what I primarily use to enrapture my players into my worlds, but I am always up for learning the systems for other systems as well. My favorite thing as a DM is getting to see the characters the players create have genuine moments in the worlds that I spin, it really is a feeling like no other. That being said I absolutely love when my players go wild with the roleplay, but have an equal amount of joy when they immerse themselves in the combat. Overall I am fairly "Laissez Faire" with how players want to progress and interact with the world around them, so long as everyone at the table is onboard with the direction. Overall my campaigns offer opportunities for both role-players and combat aficionados to enjoy themselves and I am always open to communicating with players on any subject that they have about the game or DND in general.

Creating your character
Character creation will be the final part of the session zero. During character creation, players will be able to view several fully made character sheets as a reference to help see what the end result should look like. During this there will be step by step instructions and examples on how not only to properly make a character, but also to play the game if needed. We will be creating said characters and sheets in Roll20.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will require a mic for communication since the primary platform we will be using is Discord. Webcams are not required but can be used if the players feel the need to. No prior knowledge will be required, but will be heavily encouraged to speed up game time, but any and all questions will be answered no matter what. I highly recommend looking up the setting of the world beforehand to become familiar with the world but all of that will be handled in the session zero. What Aveio A. brings to the table
I create the vast majority of my maps so there will be a quality of passion behind my work that I feel players will appreciate. On top of this I can provide documents and links for players to help familiarize themselves with the setting. Also currently I have many artists to recommend the players to if they want their character portraits more specialized. As a bonus some of these artists are willing to offer discounts for any player I refer to them.

How Aveio A. creates a safe table
Players will be encouraged to share with me what would make them uncomfortable at the table and, using that inforamtion, the game itself will be adjusted if necessary. If any behavior at the table becomes an issue then said issue will be resolved in private. Session zeros will go over in order - Introductions - Player Expectations - Campaign Expectations - Character Creation/ Learning to Play
