About the adventure
Berlin: the Wicked City is a semi-episodic three-part campaign tracing the Weimar Republic's rise and fall. It'll appeal to those looking for: ⌛ A compact campaign (3 to 5 sessions). 💡 A place to learn Call of Cthulhu. 📙 A campaign inspired by Berlin's storied history. 📰 Stunning art, handouts, and characters. 🧿 Eldritch horror. 🏳️🌈 LGBT+ friendly campaign. GM's Note: Berlin: the Wicked City is a campaign for mature audiences, contending with Berlin's vices and Germany's politics following WWI. I will endeavor to keep it tasteful, and ask you to do so as well.

About me
Hi👋, I'm Franc, better known as Golvin. I'd like to be your GM. While I mainly run D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and Alien RPG, my real pleasure is trying new modules and systems. (Cowboy Bebop RPG anyone?) Which has led me to a specialization in running one-shots, often including highly detailed handouts, pre-made characters, and other player aids. I also write the Reviews from the Far Reams Substack newsletter, currently focused on helping others get the most out of Call of Cthulhu 7e modules.

Creating your character
Players can create an original character using the Keeper Rulebook or take one of six pre-made characters. (Suggested for those new to Call of Cthulhu. You'll likely be making your own in short order.) *In my Discord and Roll20 game, I have character creation guides that'll guide you around common pitfalls.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Berlin: the Wicked City uses Discord (voice chat, gm notes) and Roll20 (character sheets, dice, etc.). To participate in the game, you will need to: ✅ A Roll20 account (free) ✅ A Discord account (free) ✅ Microphone ✅ Headset or quiet space to avoid feedback

How Golvin - One-Shot GM creates a safe table
As part of onboarding for the game, I send players my Line & Veils and ask for theirs in return. Which are then confirmed at the beginning of the session as part of a mini-session 0. During the game, if anything disturbs you, please tell me, leave an "X" in the chat, or privately message me. I will then remove the offending or skip past it. Likewise, if you feel the adventure is going in an unsavory direction but use an "N" instead. I will also check in if I notice anything is off.
