About the adventure

D&D is a game with endless player options and creativity; especially now with the new 2024 rules. This is a free one-shot so that you can experiment and get familiar with the new rules, or a character idea you've had for a long time, but never got to play. The trouble is subtle at first: conversations repeat, timelines don’t line up, and questions that should have simple answers dissolve into blank stares. When the party tries to recall what happened a few days ago or how they arrived, memories slip away like thawing snow. Can you solve the mystery of the eternal blizzard that plagues your village? This winter-themed one-shot is for intermediate and experienced players who want to have some fun and room to experiment with new (sub)classes, spells, combos, etc. in mid-tier gameplay, that usually won't be accessible in most campaigns. You can expect a blend of cozy roleplay with creeping unease and tactical encounters with novel adversaries. TL;DR Social scenes and investigation up front, followed by exploration, puzzle-solving and several combat encounters against (hopefully) unfamiliar enemies in an unfamiliar terrain.
