About the adventure
Figures amble through the fog, the moon their only illumination, oblivious to the presence of anyone or anything else. Though they seem to speak to one another, nary a sound escapes their lips. A red cape, long & hooded, disappears around a building as a low growl echoes close by. Fish merchants from the coastal village of Khar have begun to describe the people as “soulless husks going about their day in total silence,” reticent to return… This module introduces players to some core aspects of D&D: social interactions, mystery, suspense, puzzles, and combat. This one-shot is based on classic stories from the Brothers Grimm, and as such can be quite gruesome. Trigger warnings include: forced self-harm, blood, harm to children (no death), eye wounds, claustrophobia, quick mention of sexual harassment, adult sexual references, & torture. That being said, it is written in a way where “everybody lives” can be a thing.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey, I'm Aetsch (pronounced like the letter H)! I am a 30-something neurodivergent queer nerd with hyper-focuses in D&D and Doctor Who. I've been playing D&D, starting with 3.5, since 2017 and running games since 2021. My tables will always be inclusive, and I will not tolerate misogyny, racism, bigotry, transphobia, etc.

How Aetsch (H) creates a safe table
The first half-hour to an hour will be spent on character creation (2014 rules) for those who don't have one ready and a quick discussion about boundaries, triggers (with an option for private messaging), & table rules. I will send a fillable pdf of a consent checklist that covers a variety of topics so that it can be submitted to me privately. We will take a 10-15 minute break for snacks, drinks or bio needs at about half way through the session. After session, I will stay on the Discord for an extra half hour for debriefing.
