About the adventure
*Half-off your first two sessions!* In the land of the Nine Kingdoms, there is nothing close to peace and harmony. Darkness lurks within the forests, beneath the mountains, and in the dark corners of the world. Dark powers have gathered in the heavens, sending their minions out across the world to find... Something. The gods are the stars amongst the heavens, with the great Sola, the Undying Sun, at the highest throne of these gods. Every star, planet, and astral body is a god and are as different from one another as anything can be. Most worship these gods, while others have taken up worship of an unknown, dark entity that lurks in the void between stars. In a small town at the edge of the Kingdom of Ostaica (pronounced with a hard C), an artifact will be found that will cause the world to change. The bearer of this artifact must gather allies and discover the method to destroy this artifact before the endless hordes of beastmen take it from them. Travel across the landscape, forge alliances with the many nations you meet, discover lost knowledge, and begin the mighty quest to destroy the artifact tied to the Void Between Stars. *This campaign is a large-scale adventure that requires traversing the landscape, meeting diverse characters, fighting great amounts of enemies, forge alliances and suffer betrayals, and discover how to destroy this powerful, corruptive artifact.* *It has access to a small list of applicable races: Humans, Elves (Sun/High, Star/Wood, and Umbral/Drow), Dwarves, Dragonborn, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and Goblins.*

About me
I have been running TTRPG campaigns since 2015. Started as a player, then moved up to running a session once every couple weeks. Now I'm doing it weekly, and I can't get enough. I love to write and build worlds, and this lets me be every character I've ever written. I'm happy as the Forever DM, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my worlds with others!

Creating your character
Characters will be made in Foundry during Session 0, where players will choose from a list of available races put aside in a special compendium for this campaign. They will start at level 1 and will be using either the Point-Buy or Standard Array stat allocation methods. We will be using the 2024 ruleset for classes, feats, subclasses, and other mechanics.
*First session, with a full party, would be the 17th of February (or the applicable date of 2 weeks from now)*
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need an account with Discord to join the server for each session and for out-of-game communications not taken care of by SPG, a microphone for the voice chat, and a web browser such as Chrome or Firefox to connect to Foundry where the session's VTT will be held.
What CryptMaster brings to the table
I will provide the maps, custom setting changes, items, enemy tokens, and music, if I can find any that work for the setting and mood. Combat will be fairly loose and tied to the story, with greater enemies and access to greater portions of the map being reached after level 6. Most enemies will be of a type known as Beastmen and their allies, alongside typical bandits and other monsters. I love using the Rule of Cool for most situations. If you have a good argument for why your character can do something, lets see if the dice agree! The rules are there for a baseline, and we can worm around them as we need.
Homebrew rules
Multi-use potions, Dumb Luck (spend Inspiration to reroll critical failures where the bad thing still happens but its beneficial if you succeed after), Brutal Criticals, exhaustion levels after falling to 0 in a combat (applies after combat ends), and in-game Inspiration and level-up rules from objects found within the campaign.

How CryptMaster creates a safe table
Session 0 will cover both character creation and any limits or triggers for players who wish to participate. These can either be covered through the Discord voice chat or via direct messaging. Breaks can be taken when needed or at the session's halfway mark. The content warnings provided in this listing may be changed based on player needs, as content may be removed to make it more comfortable for the group. I have a zero-tolerance policy for the mistreatment of fellow players, and those who choose to participate in acts that make the game less fun for the group, with the statement of "it's what my character would do," are not welcome. Phobic statements and toxic acts are not welcome and will cause removal from the game. Political or religious statements, arguments, and sentiments are discouraged while part of the campaign and during sessions. Unless everyone has the same beliefs and are happy to share and discuss as adults, we're here to play the game that lets you not be yourself for a while. We're here to have fun and escape from reality for a bit.
