About the adventure

For players who love slow-burn horror, arctic survival, and deep mystery—played out in text over time. The Ten-Towns are frozen in endless night, trapped under Auril's cruel winter. Strange horrors lurk in the blizzards: lost cities, twisted experiments, and secrets best left buried. This is a theatre-of-the-mind game with an emphasis on atmosphere, investigation, and tough choices—post when you can, and watch the dread unfold. Survive the cold. Unravel the Rime. Pray the dawn ever comes. -------------------------------------------------------- This is a play-by-post campaign to be held asynchronously over Discord. The main strength of this style of play is that players can contribute whenever they have the time, making it perfect for those with busy schedules or living in different time zones. Each player adds to the story at their own pace, giving themselves time to think about their character's actions and reactions. As your Dungeon Master, I will commit to posting at least three times per day, 6 days a week; and encourage you as a player to post at least once or twice per day.

Creating your character

- Starting @ Level 1 - Stats will be Rolled for in the Discord - Will be using D&D (2024) rules - Must use DND Beyond, Gsheet, or Dicecloud. I do not have a DND Beyond campaign link yet but if you find it too expensive you can use Gsheet (contact me for help with setting it up or any questions regarding it) - All Officially Released D&D Sourcebooks Allowed

What Slosh brings to the table

📘D&D 2024 Handbook Access: You'll have access to the 2024 Hanbook to reference the new options and choose what ever you wish to play. 🎨 Creative Storytelling and Engaging Storylines: Expect a hands-on game with all types of foreshadowing and carefully planned narratives that all will be shaped by your Character, make sure to take notes because what might seem small at first could end up returning later in the story. ⚔️ Tactical and Intense Combat: Prepare for strategically challenging encounters. I aim to balance tactical depth with fast-paced action to keep combat exciting and engaging. 🗺️ Custom Maps and Tokens: Visual aids like custom maps and tokens will be used to enrich your understanding of the environment and help track your adventures visually. 🎲 Rule of Cool: I embrace the Rule of Cool, prioritizing fun and dramatic moments over strict adherence to rules. 📖 Homebrew Friendly & Third Party Sourcebook Open: Open to all Homebrew & Third Party Sourcebooks just as long as you run it by me first and I get a chance to look it over and approve it.

Homebrew rules

- Flanking: Gives a +2 Bonus to Attack Rolls - Exhaustion: Slightly tweaked 2024s Exhaustion
