About the adventure

You must gather your allies, traverse strange locales, and defeat fiery foes in order to end the machinations of this fire genie general, or everything you hold dear may go up in smoke. The cities orbiting the sun are your home, and they are under threat. Whether you're from Asanatown, constantly beset by a mysterious psychic pressure, or from Corona, suffering under the whims of organised crime, your struggle will encompass much more than you are used to. Use the magic and technology within your grasp to overcome the challenges ahead, or the deific power at the heart of the solar system may burn too bright to bear! Creating your character
You should have a science-fantasy character idea ready for our first meeting. If you have multiple ideas, feel free to bring them all so we can discuss which is best for the party. A chosen level 1 character must be input into Foundry VTT by the end of session 0 (I will help with this). Players who join later will make characters at the same level as the rest of the party. Rare and uncommon character aspects will be subject to GM approval, but I am very nice, I promise. Some Pathfinder 2e content may be allowed. We will use the standard method of character creation (listed here: https://2e.aonsrd.com/rules/64-character-creation). Don't know what any of this is? Don't worry, as I will provide all the links, guidance, and resources you need ✨

What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a mic and a computer with a web browser, such as Google Chrome. You will also need accounts with Discord and the Forge (free level is fine). I will send you links to all of these. Not sure if your computer can handle Foundry? Try the demo here in your browser: https://foundryvtt.com/demo I am happy to use video, but you are not obliged to. If you do wish to use video, you will need some kind of webcam. You don't need to know the rules in advance. However, I encourage you to think of one or more science-fantasy character concepts - if you can't think of one I can provide a pre-made character in the meantime.
What Jay brings to the table
My games are all about fun! This adventure features both combat and roleplay, and I highly encourage you to do things the group finds cool. My tables are always inclusive. I provide a virtual tabletop with thematic ambient music and fancy maps. I will also provide lots of enthusiasm! We will be using my Discord server with private channels for the game.

How Jay creates a safe table
Before the session I ask that everyone send me their Lines & Veils. Lines are things you absolutely don't want in the game, and Veils are things you are okay to have if we avoid going into detail. I will then anonymise the list of Lines & Veils. At the start of the campaign we will go over the anonymous list to ensure everyone knows where not to tread. We will have available in our virtual tabletop a series of buttons to click if you are at all uncomfortable, which I will explain in our first meeting. These include the X-Card, as well as fast-forward, pause, resume, and rewind cards. If you do not feel comfortable using these publicly, I encourage you to send me a message on Discord. The content warnings include the most significant warning-worthy topics in the adventure. If there are other content warnings you need to know about, please let me know and we can discuss how to make you most comfortable. I am also happy to work with players to remove triggering content from the plot, as your fun and comfort is what's most important.
