About the adventure
A Viking raider, a weary American Revolutionist, and a scholar from Mars University (2371) wake up in a world that shouldn't exist. Their bodies are altered, their memories are fractured, and they are surrounded by strangers from across time and space. They soon discover the terrifying law of this land: Your life force (XP) is the only currency. In the Kingdom of Xylos, you don't pay with gold—you pay with your potential. Will you spend your essence to buy bread for the day, or save it to grow strong enough to challenge the elites who hoard the world's power? In this campaign, you will: - Create a Dual Character: Explore both who you were in the "real" world, as well is who you will be in Xylos. - Navigate a "Deadly Economy": Experience a unique mechanical system where leveling up and commerce are at constant odds. - Uncover a Multiversal Mystery: Discover why you were pulled from your timeline and who—or what—is harvesting the life force of this world. - Challenge the Status Quo: Decide if you will serve the powerful protectors of the realm or lead a revolution to break the cycle of XP-slavery.

About me
20+ Years of Immersive World-Building & Epic Adventure I began playing TTRPGs in 2003 and was immediately hooked. Since 2004, I have been crafting intricate TTRPG campaigns where player choices leave lasting marks on the history of the realm. I started playing Holy Lands, but quickly switched to D&D 3.5, and am now a veteran of D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder 1e.

Creating your character
I'll set up a discord server before session 0 to discuss ideas, and feel free to start making a character. Most of character creation will be done in session 0 for players to be able to play off each other. Don't worry as much about party balance (we need a tank, healer, dps, etc), as it is my job as GM to make appropriate encounters based on the makeup of the party.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need discord and Roll 20 set up to play the game. If you need help setting either of these up, I am glad to help.
What Ben Fraser brings to the table
This game will stick closer to the rules than I often do, but as a high magic setting, I will help you build and do the things you want for your character. For those that love the crunch, they have free reign to build their own character, and level up, and for those that prefer to just enjoy the story, I will help guide and craft a character that will let them do the things they are excited to do. Quickly you will become some of the most powerful people around, having a large impact on the world around you, unlocking the lore of the world, and shaping the course of the story based on your individual goals, and the goals of the party.
Homebrew rules
This will stick fairly close to 3.5 in general, with the notable exception of being able to exchange life force as a currency. Additionally, the traditional selling price of half the items value may vary in the world, as the only way for them to buy items from you is to give you their life essence. Virtually all races will be allowed (though ones with level adjustment I'll need to talk to you about), but classes will be limited to Artificer, Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Wizard. If there are any 3.5 books you want to use, run it by me, but most will be allowed including: PHB 1 and 2, the "Complete" books such as Complete Divine and Complete Mage, and Unearthed Arcana.
