About the adventure

🐲 In this campaign, players will roll characters with the Dragon Ancestry from Battlezoo, or the Dragonet Ancestry from the Draconic Codex book of Pathfinder 2e. ❓ Take the role of young dragons in a wild, monstrous world. Contend with other dragons, cunning monsters, or pesky adventurers. 📜 The backstories of characters will be implemented into the land of Ghimlyt, allowing the draconic protagonists of our story to retrace the steps of their bloodlines, or forge new legacies for themselves. Finding and creating a lair, or staking a claim on greater and greater environs, is central to the campaign. Perks include: ⚒️- Minions who perform Downtime activities on your behalf. 🪙 - Subjects which Earn Income on behalf of your demesne. 🗺️ - A lair map that I will personally update as sessions progress to reflect your party's sense of decor. 🏰 - The eventual opportunity to construct a dungeon of your own, to keep two-legged interlopers out of your hoard.

About me

Greetings. I'm Mete0r, I'm 25, and I'm an avid roleplaying games player and host. I've been GMing homebrew settings and campaigns for my friends for over 7 years. I figured I should bring my skills to bear here as well. My persona is a mutant dragon (read: my dorky fursona) and I am rather open about the fact I'm a scalie. With that said, my games often involve or promote the participation of anthropomorphic or monstrous characters... because they're just cool. I started with D&D 5e, and have no qualms with running it again for a group in need... but I must admit, I prefer PF2e for most of my tabletop gaming. I run on the Forge, and JUST the Forge, please. Love that VTT too much to deal with the headache of roll20.

Character creation

Creating your character

A brief reiteration: In this campaign, players will roll characters with the Dragon Ancestry from Battlezoo, or the Dragonet Ancestry from the Draconic Codex book of Pathfinder 2e. Hey, the reiteration's over! We will have a session zero the day of session one, taking up to one hour. Before the day of our session zero, I highly advise you use Pathbuilder2e, a free online tool, to help brainstorm your Level 3 Dragon or Dragonet. When using Pathbuilder2e to make a Dragon Ancestry character, make sure to 'enable Battlezoo' when creating a new character. We will be using a couple variant rules for PF2E, known as Free Archetype and Ancestral Paragon. Free Archetype will allow you to select a Dedication Feat for free, as well as feats related to that Archetype every level that you would also get a Class Feat. Ancestral Paragon will allow you select 2 Ancestry Feats at Level One, and another Ancestry Feat every odd-numbered Level you achieve. For new characters in this campaign, this means that you will begin the game with three Ancestry Feats in total. There are options in Pathbuilder2e to allow you to switch on these variant rules. If you've joined the campaign and need help accessing these settings, either message me on StartPlaying, the discord server I will be sending you upon joining the campaign, or the search engine of your choice if I happen to be asleep or busy at the time. RECOMMENDED CLASSES: TIER ONE: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED I think classes that aid your fantasy of monstrous strength or overflowing magical power, such as the Barbarian, Sorcerer, Monk, Fighter, Psychic, Champion, and Kineticist are great fun. TIER TWO: FINE BY ME Any class not listed in the third tier is fine by me. TIER THREE: MAYBE NOT Classes that rely on powers exterior to the character, such as Cleric, Witch, Oracle, etc. may run contrary to the idea of your character regaining the strength they lost in their slumber. Such classes are not totally forbidden, but I will need some creative rhetoric to convince me of your case. RECOMMENDED ARCHETYPES: The Archetypes called Draconic Ravager and Dragon Mage archetypes from the Battlezoo Dragon supplement fits wonderfully, but is not required. BACKSTORIES: Your dragon may have been majestic, glorious, wise, and compassionate. They may have also been cruel, jealous, bloodthirsty, and callous. Hell, your dragon may have been only a century old when the cataclysm occurred, reemerging all the more naive, curious, and adventurous. Regardless, your character can have as illustrious a past as they wish; just be prepared for most of what they once knew to have disappeared at the time of their reawakening.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will require a ForgeVTT account to connect to the Foundry server we'll be utilizing for the game. A discord server will also exist for the players to mingle, scheme, and post in. I highly advise you to get ready for Session 0.5/1 by using Pathbuilder2e, a free online tool usable in your browser. Please have a functional microphone in order to play this voiced game. If your microphone explodes, falls down 3 flights of stairs, gets eaten by a pack of dogs, or walks out the front door before your session, you may input your actions and dialogue through Foundry's chat system for the session until you have a replacement microphone.

What Mete0r brings to the table

Campaigns will include (eventual) base building, evolving regional maps, dungeon crawling, combat/ambient music, negotiations and diplomatic relations with other intelligent species, and a sandbox adventure to reclaim lost memories and powers.

Homebrew rules

Earned Feats: Characters will earn Bonus Feats from completing personal quests, some homebrew, some core feats. For example, a character may earn the Feat 'Group Coercion' after giving a group of craven goblins a particularly colorful and awestriking speech that convinces them to lay down their arms and become that character's minions.
