About the adventure

Long has Phillip Druskenvald driven the engine of progress in Druskenvald. The 13 provinces marching forward to bring some form of civilization to a once wild land. Phillip rules it all with a council formed of a leader from each of the provinces that report to him of issues and help maintain order. These members of the council enjoy nearly complete autonomy so long as their provinces are maintained and do not interfere with Phillip’s machinations. But for each that stands to help rule, there is another that seeks to further darkness and corruption. A great coven. A witch for each province working dark magics and orchestrating terrible machinations. This coven has posed a problem for Druskenvald for too long. This will be a homebrew storyline based off the setting found in The Crooked Moon. All skill levels are welcome. (If you are new to D&D let me know so I can make sure you will get any help you need)

About me

Hello! My name is Josh. I am a long time in the hobby with 24 years playing and 21 years as GM. I’ve run dozens of different systems, excelling at fantasy and horror base campaigns. As a Game Master my favorite part of the role is seeing players become emotionally invested in my settings and stories. I want to start hosting games so I can reach a broader audience for my games and maybe find a group or two to I can have be regular faces!

Make sure you have a discord account, D&D beyond and a microphone

What Josh T brings to the table

I bring story, roleplay heavy narrative. However there will be a large sandbox element to the game. Combat will be tactical in larger battles. I will do my best with voices but understand it is a skill in progress. I will als be content sharing a number of core, supplemental and setting books through D&D beyond.

Homebrew rules

Potions may be used as a bonus action Spell casters may cast more than their spells slot would normally allow at significant risk to themselves. Spell casters may elect to try to cast over their spell limit, however every time they attempt to they must roll a spell casting check equal to dc.10 plus the number of spell slots the caster has gone over since their last long rest including the current attempts. If the character succeeds the spell goes off as per usual. If they fail by a small amount the spell fails but nothing worse happens. If the caster fails by 10 or rolls a natural 1 the spell fails and they suffer from a roll of the spell misfire table. A long rest resets the dc.
