About the adventure

Adventure begins in NYC with the heroes emerging to stand-up to the thugs that have been knocking around the people of Little Italy. What starts as a local event soon spreads to city-wide mayhem, and eventually goes out-of-this-world! šŸ’„ From humble beginnings you will form a team to fight some of the most dangerous Super Villains in the Multiverse. šŸ’„ Featuring the Fantastic 616 System, the MMRPG gives players the chance to explore their own story with stream-lined mechanics for quick combat with epic finishes. ā„¹ļø Cataclysm of Kang is a 6-issue Graphic Novel that spans Ranks 1-6. In this adventure we will play through Chapters 1-3 as a complete story arc in about 12 sessions. šŸŽ Roleplay and Investigation are an important part of this campaign. Gameplay will focus on stopping the bad guys, but characters can have secret identities, friends, jobs, and families.

About me

Hail and well met adventurers, Over the last four years, I have met hundreds of incredible people around the virtual table. The stories we've shared have brought joy, laughter, and a even a few tears into our lives. Many of these folks return to the table year after year. They'll be quick to welcome you to and eager to hear your tales and experiences when you sit down to play. My road to becoming a professional Dungeon Master is a long and storied one that began with a few little fibs I used to tell as an extremely shy kid. When I met new people, I would tell them cowboy stories about adventures I had with my faithful steed. The more smiles I received, the longer the stories went on. Growing up in the Midwest region of the US, Dungeons & Dragons was all around me. I played in my neighborhood when my brother and his friends would let me tag along. Later, he convinced the High School D&D club to let me come to the big table when I was still in Middle School. Fast Forward to 2016, I opened up the Lost Mines of Phandelver Box Set. After a 25 year hiatus from the hobby I loved, I sat down at the table with my kids and rediscovered the joy of Tabletop Role-Playing Games. Like many others, the 2020 Pandemic lockdowns led me to an online game that quickly brought me to a joyous career of story-telling and playing games. The rest we say, is canon. Grab a seat, roll some dice, live the adventure, create epic stories, and make friends at the table. Hey, there's an open spot now! David, the avidDM

Safety

How David | The avidDM creates a safe table

This game would be rated PG-13 as a movie. Some special effects of powers cause bleeding and NPC death. While not common, superhero characters can die as well. All heroes will have the Heroic Tag from the Marvel Multiverse Core Rulebook. "Heroic The character acts heroically. They help people in need, and they do their best not to kill—even with people who might deserve it. Restriction: The character cannot also be Villainous." Common Sense Safety Rules will be discussed verbally in onboarding. At any point during the game, please feel free to speak up in chat or voice if things are uncomfortable for any reason. You can also DM me privately and I'll fade to black/rewind/skip/etc. as needed.
