About the adventure
Phoenix is already hot, but tonight, the heat is intentional. One of your coterie has been taken alive by the Special Affairs Division, the federal hunters who don’t believe in monsters… only threats. They’re being held in a repurposed megachurch in Mesa, hidden behind religious immunity, smiling volunteers, and miles of red tape. The worst part? They aren’t being tortured. They’re being studied. SAD doesn’t want your friend dead, they want answers. Who controls Phoenix? Who gives the orders? And how far will the Anarchs go to protect their own? This is a high-tension, modern-night one-shot where every solution carries consequences: Burn the place down and risk mortal lives Expose the truth to the media and invite scrutiny Turn the church itself against the hunters hiding inside it There is no clean victory, only choices you’ll have to live with.

About me
Discord link: https://discord.gg/MW8s33h4zU Professional Dungeon Master | Award-Nominated Storyteller | Horror & Dark Fantasy Specialist I’m DeAngelo, a professional Dungeon Master with 15+ years behind the screen, recognized by Wizards of the Coast and Renegade Games, and nominated for multiple awards as a writer, game master, and game designer. I specialize in cinematic, character-driven campaigns where player choices carry real consequences, morality is rarely clean, and the world remembers what you’ve done. My tables are built for players who want more than combat loops, players who want tension, atmosphere, emotional investment, and stories that linger long after the session ends. ⸻ What Playing at My Table Feels Like • Deeply immersive storytelling with vivid descriptions and strong NPC performances • Horror-forward tone (cosmic, gothic, psychological, or tragic — depending on the campaign) • Player agency that meaningfully alters the world and its factions • Moral dilemmas where “victory” often comes at a cost • A collaborative table where characters are as important as mechanics Players regularly tell me they’re thinking about sessions days later, replaying decisions, questioning outcomes, and eagerly anticipating what comes next. ⸻ My Signature Style I’m best known for running games that blend: • Cosmic horror & dark fantasy • Political intrigue and social pressure • Tragic heroism and doomed ambition • Mystery, cults, secrets, and forbidden knowledge If you enjoy inspirations like Bloodborne, Vampire: The Masquerade, Lovecraft, or Dark Souls, you’ll feel right at home. ⸻ Experience & Credentials • GMing since 2008 (D&D 4E onward) • Recognized by Wizards of the Coast & Renegade Games • Award-nominated: • Writer (2016) • Game Master (2023) • Game Designer (2023) • Successfully ran and fulfilled a Kickstarter campaign with international backers • Host of the That_DeAngelo podcast (TTRPG actual play & creative interviews) • Organizer and GM for charity events like Homies and Horror I bring the same level of professionalism, preparation, and respect to every table, paid or otherwise. ⸻ What You Can Expect as a Player • Clear communication and consistent scheduling • Safety tools and content transparency • Session recaps and ongoing narrative continuity • Space for roleplay and tactical play • Respect for player comfort, creativity, and collaboration I value table chemistry highly, I’d rather run a phenomenal game for the right group than a “good enough” game for the wrong one. ⸻ Games I Run Best • Dungeons & Dragons 5E • Horror-themed and narrative-driven campaigns • Original settings and published adventures with heavy narrative customization Many of my campaigns also serve as playtests for original projects, meaning players get early access to evolving worlds and stories that may one day be published. ⸻ Who My Games Are For My games are ideal for players who: • Enjoy roleplay and character development • Like meaningful consequences and long-term storytelling • Appreciate darker themes handled with care and intention • Want a committed GM who treats this as a profession If you’re looking for a casual beer-and-pretzels dungeon crawl, I may not be the right fit, but if you want a story you’ll remember, let’s talk. ⸻ Ready to Play? If one of my listings speaks to you, I’d love to have you at my table. If you’re unsure which game is the best fit, feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help players find the right experience. Come for the dice. Stay for the dread!
