About the adventure

Welcome one and all to the beautiful city of Minneapolis. It's a normal winter's day in this modern city in the American Midwest. Snowy, cold, but warmed by the people who call this place home. Perhaps your character is visiting, or on a business trip, or maybe they live here too! Either way, they stumble into a case of a missing book of magic spells that is leaving mayhem wherever it goes! Just me for a fun romp through my favorite places in the city I call home. See the best the city has to offer while having a fun D&D-style adventure!

About me

My name is Alexandria (she/her) and I've been playing tabletop rpgs for sixteen years, and I've been a professional Gm for the last four. I enjoy telling character-focused stories with a focus on player agency. I love making maps for my games and providing visuals for all my NPCs. I strive to ensure a welcoming environment for all. I am huge on player safety and making sure everyone is having fun!

Character creation

Creating your character

Ideally we'll have everyone's characters ready before game starts, but I expect any technical hiccups can be handled in the first few minutes as we're all getting settled. Make level 7 characters using the 2024 5e rules. Feel free to ask questions! I am not against homebrew but please ask first. These characters should be flavored as modern people in the real world. If you need help deciding how to do that, feel free to reach out!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You should have a Discord and a Foundry account. Nothing extra needs to be downloaded. Links for my private Discord server and the Foundry game will be made available upon sign-up.

What Alexandria brings to the table

Original music, custom battle maps, and a decent knowledge of the city will be provided. I'm a Rule of Cool GM, and especially since these are one-shots I will happily bend the rules for the sake of a good time! The main thing I like to emphasize in my games is safety. Everyone is to feel comfortable at my table at all times. If things get rough I utilize multiple safety tools and will not hesitate to shut down a joke that goes too far.

Safety

How Alexandria creates a safe table

We will have a Lines and Veils document available upon sign-up. My Foundry game has a built-in anonymous X-card. We will do a brief safety overview once everyone has gathered, and I do check-ins if the tension ever runs high. I also use a modified Stars and Wishes for after the session.
