About me
🇹🇼 🇺🇸 🏳️🌈 Chicky, she/her, bumbling Sagittarius, bad at math but good at stories, probably forgetting an important step in a recipe right now. Tenye wa chesh gut 🚀 GMing is my dream job. I love crafting a quality experience for players to look forward to every session. At my table, you can focus on making meaningful choices in an interesting world that grows with you, and knowing it’ll be one heck of a story! WHAT MY PLAYERS SAY: 💬 "...fantastic with adapting content to the interests of the group!" 💬 "...spotlight management is one of the best among the GMs I've played with." 💬 "...it takes a great GM to make you enjoy a TPK!" In the real world, I work for a wildlife nonprofit. I love watching my partner play video games, browsing indie bookstores, and spoiling my two cats. If you'd like a bespoke game created specifically for your group, message me directly and let's chat!

Creating your character
We'll have a session 0 to create characters together using the base Shadowdark RPG content (the Quickstart rules is free to download) and DELVE-specific materials (provided by the GM).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We'll use Discord for voice chat and Owlbear Rodeo for character sheet and other game materials; both are free to access.
What ChickyBisky brings to the table
🎥 Cinematic, roleplay-focused narrative where your choices matter 📖 A rules-conscious, but flexible table. We will respect the rules as written, but we're not afraid to bend them when it enhances the story in a consistent manner with group consensus. 📝 Session write-ups after every game, so you're always up to speed on what happened when we last left our heroes. 🎶 Thematic and ambient music to set the mood
Homebrew rules
No player-vs-player action is allowed, unless relevant to the story and only with consent of all players. Using SlyFlourish home rules for Shadowdark: - 1st level characters start with maximum hit points and add their Constitution modifier if it's above zero. - Instead of losing access to a spell when failing a spellcasting check, PCs lose the spell only if they've cast it successfully at least once. - The GM subtracts 1d12 from the torch timer. You never know when you'll lose your light... - Lighting a torch in the dark takes a DC 12 Int or Dex check at disadvantage. - Character's can't be stabilized at zero hit points. PCs either have at least 1 hit point or they're dying. Stabilizing someone can bring them back to one hit point if you roll a 20, but otherwise they're dying. - You always start sessions with +1 luck point. Luck points can be shared among players and allows a reroll of any d20 roll made by PCs. - The GM rolls death rounds for PCs in secret. - If you take damage while dying, you lose one death round Borrowing Daggerheart's death move: - Blaze of Glory: The PC embraces death and goes out in dramatic fashion. Take one action (at the GM's discretion), which critically succeeds within narrative reason. The PC then permanently crosses through the veil of death.

How ChickyBisky creates a safe table
We will set expectations and boundaries as a group, establish Lines and Veils, create characters, and review gaming logistics. I use Stars and Wishes to close out every session, and take frequent temperature checks throughout the campaign to make sure everyone is still having fun. My DMs are always open so you can reach me outside of the game.
