About the adventure
Orbital Monday Blues (but Tuesday’s just as bad) is a neon-soaked, hard-luck sci-fi one-shot set in the worn-down edges of the system, where space is vast, money is tight, and everyone owes someone. This is an Orbit Blues game focused on desperate people making bad decisions for understandable reasons. You’re not heroes—you’re operators, freelancers, and survivors trying to stay afloat one job at a time. The Parazzo Family, led by the sharp and ruthless Toni Parazzo, are tightening their grip on crime and commerce across the system. They want a rival smuggling ring shut down, stolen credits clawed back from Indie Carter, and their long-time enemies—the Reno Snakes, led by Francine Dubois—crushed once and for all. You’re caught in the middle, whether you like it or not, hired muscle or accidental pawns in a messy, personal war where loyalty is currency and betrayal is common. Expect a character-driven, cinematic game with strong vibes: smoky stations, bad coffee, old ships, and conversations that matter as much as gunfire. I lean into roleplay, moral choices, and consequences—combat is fast, dangerous, and never the only answer. Creating your character
We’ll create characters together at the start of the session. Please come in with a loose concept and an idea of the kind of character you’d like to play—mechanical knowledge isn’t required. Character creation in Orbit Blues is quick and straightforward and should take about 30–45 minutes. I’ll walk everyone through the process step by step, explain the rules as we go, and make sure everyone’s character fits the tone and themes of the game. No prep required, no homework—just bring a vibe, a name, and someone who’s got a few bad habits and a reason to take one more job. 🎸🚀

What Michael brings to the table
I put my players first—always. This game is about your characters, your choices, and the story we build together. I value player agency and meaningful options, and I’m far more interested in what feels right for the moment than rigidly sticking to the rules. I strongly embrace the Rule of Cool. If something is stylish, dramatic, or perfectly on-theme, I’ll usually find a way to make it work. Combat is fast and cinematic rather than overly tactical, and there’s always more than one way out of a bad situation. As a voice actor, I bring full character voices, NPC personalities, and emotional delivery to the table. I also use ambient music, sound, and visual backdrops to set the mood, plus maps when things turn dangerous and the shooting starts. Expect a supportive table, strong vibes, memorable NPCs, and a GM who’s invested in making sure everyone has a great time—even when everything goes wrong. 🎭🚀

How Michael creates a safe table
I am committed, as the Storyteller, to building a safe, consensual, and trusting play environment for everyone at the table. Player comfort always comes before story, tone, or rules. We will make use of established TTRPG safety tools, including the X-Card (John Stavropoulos), Script Change (Beau Jágr Sheldon), and Lines and Veils (Ron Edwards). We’ll go over boundaries together before play and make space for check-ins as needed. Safety tools will be easy to use during the session—players can message me privately or speak up at any time, no explanations required. We’ll also do a brief post-session debrief to make sure everyone leaves the table feeling good about the experience. This is a collaborative game, and respect comes first. If something isn’t working, we adjust—no questions asked. 🖤🚀
