About the adventure
For centuries, the giants of the North lived by an ancient hierarchy that defined their place in the world. Now that order has shattered, and the consequences ripple across the Sword Coast. ◼︎Hill giants raid for food without restraint ◼︎Frost giants hunt relics of lost glory ◼︎Fire giants build terrible war machines ◼︎Storm giants manifest walls of cloud and thunder In Storm King’s Thunder, you play heroes rising in a world on the brink of collapse. What begins as local trouble quickly spirals into a sweeping epic of exploration, political intrigue and nail-bitting action. This is a sandbox-style campaign where your choices influence the story we tell. Which giant factions do you confront, negotiate with, or bend to your will? The giants are not a single enemy, but a fractured culture struggling to redefine power, honor and survival. EXPECT A MIX OF: • High-stakes diplomacy with towering beings • Dynamic combat against legendary foes • Deep worldbuilding rooted in Forgotten Realms lore • Character-driven stories that tie your backstories into the fate of the North Your actions will shape the balance between giantkind and smallfolk, and the consequences will echo far beyond any single battle!

About me
Well met! I’ve been GM-ing since 2019, running everything from one-shots to a three-year bi-weekly campaign. My style of storytelling tends to be gritty, character-driven fantasy with enough humor to bring out occasional laughs from folks. I draw inspiration from writers like Joe Abercrombie, George R. R. Martin & Robin Hobb. I'm also influenced by video games: The Witcher, Shadow of Colossus, etc. At my table, player freedom is at the core. I enjoy when players test the limits of my imagination and push the story in an unforeseen situation. I tend to return that favor, putting players in a situation where they have to improvise on the fly, which can be a daunting task. Yet individuals who enjoy that type of challenge tend to have a great time in my games. My goal is always to create a vivid theatre-of-the-mind experience where players can unleash their creativity and leave with unforgettable stories. I favour Theater-of-the-Mind style GM-ing because we want to mimic a real life table experience as closely as possible.

Creating your character
During Session 0, we’ll go through character creation step by step and discuss how each character fits into the world.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A Theater of the Mind experience, we'll be using Discord - which is the only app you need. No virtual table-tops. We want to mimic a real-life table experience as much as possible. Have an idea of your character ready!
What IvanGMT brings to the table
I have years of experience running D&D adventures. Rule of cool applies, the amount of combat we will experience depends on the group - whether they are the kind who likes to engage or avoid. The group decides! There will be occasional ambient/action music.
