About the adventure

About me
Hello!! I decided to start hosting games because I love storytelling! I have been creating stories and worlds for as long as I can remember. I have been a GM/DM more often than a player. I have a very active creative mind. I love TTRPG's as a whole but found my passion running games. It has given my mind a perfect outlet. My worlds are a variety of fantasy themes from gothic horror, crystal punk and steampunk. I aim to have a welcoming place for anyone to play. I don't aim to kill any characters and look for ways so anyone can experience creativity and joy. I welcome any experience level, from beginners to experienced vets.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during session 0. I will invite everyone to my discord to go over all the content, rules and etiquette. This is allow everyone to get an idea on what they want to play. During session 0, we will have time to go over characters, backstory ideas and sessions. I will then wait and send some messages about backstory to make sure they are integrated into the story.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To be able to play, I would have a headset with a mic but you can do a a separate speakers and microphone. If you want to use a separate webcam, you are welcome to. The next ones are necessary, a D&DBeyond account and Discord account. These are the main sites used for gameplay and content.
What Bolasian brings to the table
Full array of sourcebooks and guides in D&D Beyond. fully built discord server. VTT and maps from Beyond. I do have different playlists in spotify that I share for gameplay. I do work on NPC voices and personalities. I will definitely make some weird ones and mistakes but its apart of the fun. I am a storytelling style DM. I love creativity, role playing, intriguing conversations and character development. I don't shy away from combat but what the players to feel like they are apart of the story and world. I will start with the rules but always open to conversations and discussion. This is meant to be friendly and cooperative.

How Bolasian creates a safe table
I start with my session 0 to go over rules, etiquette and overview. During this time I explain my roleplaying style and the best ways to bring up everyones hopes, fears, and limits. I make sure to go over the safety tools and topics on the campaign. I will provide check-ins and I always try to make sure I am open and available for honest communication and feedback.
