About the adventure

Sharpen your knives, tie your aprons, and lay out your spices for an epic Dungeon Meshi-inspired Daggerheart campaign! If you're a fan of the show, expect plenty of unique monsters and recipes to make with them. If you're not familiar with Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon, no worries, chef; this is an adventure full of flavor for all. The campaign frame being used is Beast Feast. You and your companions will embark on a journey to Plover Caves to save the town of Elmore and the settlements around it. The caves are a maze of up to five layers that grow more dangerous and strange the deeper you venture. In this campaign, you won't have Short or Long Rests, but fear not! You'll regain hit points and more by cooking dishes from the monsters you slay. Ooze, scorpions, glass snakes, and more make for delicious meals your character may or may not enjoy. This story will take you from level 1 to 3 and will be about 6 months long and seasoned with all types of encounters. Daggerheart is a collaborative system, so expect plenty of cooperation as we create a world and adventure full of sugar, spice, and everything... deadly.

About me

Story-Driven DM | Roleplay & Combat Balanced | 7 Years of Experience Howdy, adventurers! I've been rolling dice and shaping worlds for 7 years, with 4 years of experience as a Dungeon Master/Game Master. My DM style is roleplay-heavy, story-immersive, and character-driven, with plenty of challenging and unique combat to keep things exciting. I've run Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Out of the Abyss, Wild Beyond the Witchlight (completed), and dozens of one-shots, both homebrewed and published. On the side, I’m also running my own homebrew campaign spanning the multiverse, blending high adventure, deep lore, and player-driven storytelling. For me, a great D&D game is a collaboration since we're all here to tell an epic story together, and I love incorporating my players’ ideas to make the world feel alive. Whether you're uncovering ancient mysteries, forging legendary bonds, or facing down terrifying foes, I bring passion and energy to every session. If you're looking for a DM who values player agency, engaging storytelling, and a balance of roleplay and combat, then let's embark on an unforgettable adventure together!

Character creation

Creating your character

During our session 0 we will be doing character creation! Come with ideas or concepts but they may change the more we learn about the adventure and party make up. The key word here is collaboration. Your adventurer will have connections to others and will have an established place in the world/town we create together. With a dash of creativity and working together, we'll make a party of first level characters ready for an amazing adventure.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To join the game, you’ll need a Discord profile for voice chat in our server. A working mic is needed. There’s no need for a camera unless you have accessibility concerns; we can talk it if needed. You’ll also need a Roll20 account to access the game link. All the important game info, session 0 details (including content warnings, expectations, and so on), and character creation info will be provided in handouts in the Roll20 game, so everything you need will be right there for easy access!

What GM Cory brings to the table

I’ll be running the game on Roll20, where I’ll provide all the material you need for the campaign: maps, tokens, and handouts that will be shown throughout the game. You can also expect ambient music to set the mood, and I’ll be doing my best to bring the NPCs to life with voices! Combat will definitely be challenging at times, but with some quick thinking and clever tactics, there’s always a way to overcome the odds! Outside of combat, I embrace the Rule of Cool, but in combat, I stick to Rules as Written as closely as possible. Expect plenty of immersion and opportunities for your character to shine, especially if you share some backstory or details with me beforehand! And of course, expect a bit of light chaos to keep things exciting.
