About the adventure
Ever want to play out the story of your dreams? Want to see what happens if Finn and Jake fell into Baldur's Gate, or if Gimli and Legolas left Middle Earth for stars unknown? This is a chance for you to build, along with me, a completely customized story. We'll work together to craft a setting, build your character, and play out the story you've always wanted to tell! You can spin a tale of swords and sorcery; or perhaps you'd rather have a cozy, feel-good experience to forget the stress of real life. Whether you're an experienced storyteller, or this is the first time you put thoughts to words, there is a place for you here. I mainly run games in D&D 5e, but if you would like to use another system (or no system at all) I am fully flexible! Our game will be Play By Post, asynchronous play, so there's no set time to schedule around - you can post when it's most convenient for you!! Let's see where adventure takes us!

About me
Hi there! I'm Buppy. Welcome to the Pack! Games with me are a mix of serious, deep character-building moments and goofy comedy. I like to offer a mix of shorter and longer sessions so players can try new builds or characters while also enjoying their long-time favorites. I also love to help people learn the ropes, and as someone with years of teaching experience I'm a great asset to new players entering their TTRPG experience for the first time. Before finding my way into DnD fully, I was a huge nerd for fantasy stories and was constantly reading. When I was little I even got pulled out of a soccer game for bringing a book onto the field and reading during the game! (it fit in my pocket) My education is in music, and I think that running modules is and familiar settings scratches a similar itch to performing music - it's the same framework each time, but every play through is so very different! If you join up with one of my tables, be ready for a personalized approach to your character with as much attention and care as it takes to bring our story together. See you at the table!

Creating your character
Since we'll be building both characters and world whole cloth, we can decide the specifics of character creation as we go. That said, we will likely use DnD Beyond for character sheets so we can work well with Avrae (a dice rolling bot for Discord). Remember, the sky's the limit here, so bring your immortal space cowboy, or your lowliest farmer.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Everything we do will be through Discord. If you haven't used it before, accounts are free to create, and the interface is easy enough to navigate. I'll be there to help! Again, we may use character sheets through DnD Beyond - accounts are also free there, and I can share my content with you so you have fun options to choose from :D
What Buppy brings to the table
As your DM and story-telling partner, I take my role seriously. I have fun extras like a custom-built internet radio built for writing inspiration, and consistently stay up to date with players' needs to make sure they are having the best experience possible. Remember, we're building *your* story here, so whatever we need to bring in will be brought in by me (within reason).

How Buppy creates a safe table
Any storybuilding needs good safety tools. We'll make sure to talk through Lines and Veils (things you do/don't want and how serious they are to you) before we start, and we'll always have some time to check in outside of the creative process.
