About the adventure
Delve deep into this deadly classic where life is cheap and rewards are plentiful for the diligent survivor! Beginner friendly and a great fit for anyone looking for something dangerous but exciting. As well as for anyone craving something more grounded but still possessing magic and wonder. A game closer to 'Darkest Dungeon' than 'Marvel Rivals'.

About me
Greetings! My name's David and I've been running tabletop games for fifteen years. I'm into combat, dungeon-crawling, but I also understand that the weight those things carry is dependent on the specific choices players make. Playing with other people and seeing what they've got is fun for me and I hope it's fun for y'all too!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Players may pick from pre-generated characters I will provide at the start of the first session or, prior to the first session using the 'Shadowdarklings.net' character generator. I will also be available to help anyone wishing to create their own character through it in the week leading up to the first game. Additionally, player-facing rules content will be available from me as well as for free on the official Shadowdark website 'thearcanelibrary.com'
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need to either by themselves or in collaboration with me, generate a playable character. Additionally they will need to join the associated Discord and VTT servers with links I will provide prior to the game.
What David brings to the table
A firm grasp of the rules, a love for dungeon-crawling and an intense dedication to players making their own choices and seeing those play out for better or for (a still fun) worse.

How David creates a safe table
Briefly, at the start of the first session we'll set expectations and go over the noted safety tools in play. Given how quick and easy character creation is in this game we'll likely have time for session zero and a little gameplay. Which is why I still note a session zero.
