About the adventure
Welcome to Scian a land of eternal winter and ancient mystery, cut off from the rest of the continent by a magical barrier known only as The Tear. Towering forests, snow-covered peaks, and hidden pocket dimensions known as Shards make survival here a challenge and adventure inevitable. In the west lies the port city of Geltavas, guardian of the surrounding villages that cling to life between the icy sea and the wild Liopacàn Range. This is where your journey begins. You are a newly awakened Adventurer, called to register with the Guild and prove your worth in a land where something… isn’t quite right. What to Expect: - Homebrew setting: Explore a unique world filled with original species, lore, and monsters - Mystery and progression: Rise through the ranks, uncover hidden truths, and protect the region from growing threats - Survival and exploration: Brave the cold, delve into dangerous dungeons called Shards, and navigate a world where nature itself feels… disturbed - Roleplay and world immersion: Shape your character’s story in a world that reacts to your actions Whether you’re new to D&D or returning for a fresh experience, this campaign invites you to step into the snow-covered boots of an adventurer just beginning their legend. What you find beyond the frost may change the fate of Scian forever.

About me
Heyo, I am Social_Introvert, cis-female she/they, I’ve been running D&D 5e games for around 5 years now (though I still feel like a newbie some times) and I would like to both expand my ttrpg experience with new types of games or help teach/run D&D games for new people!

Creating your character
Character creation will happen in session 0 so we can create connections between your characters as well as to this homebrew world. Stats can be distributed by either point-buy or standard array up to you. Starting level will be level 1 but getting to level 3 will be relatively quick. You can either create your character in dndbeyond (a link will be provided for the campaign) or in Roll20 which is the VTT we will be using. All species and even pre-discussed homebrew races are acceptable.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need both a Discord and Roll20 account definitely but a dndbeyond account may also be good to have. I will add a link to my discord server for you to join. If you use a dndbeyond character sheet to roll from, you will also need the beyond20 browser plugin.
What Social_Introvert brings to the table
I embrace rule of cool but with a foundation of rules as written. I’m easily convinced to waive a rule in certain conditions especially in a campaign that is as heavily homebrewed as this one is, but having everyone on the same page and following the rules as written allows us to bend them a lot smoother. I don’t do voices sorry, I’m too self conscious for that 😂 but I still try to give each NPC their own distinctive characteristics.
Homebrew rules
Healing Potions Taking a healing potions as an Action gives the full amount of healing the potion is capable of. Taking the potion as a Bonus Actions requires the roll. Casting Spells Casting an Action required levelled spell allows a Cantrip to be cast as a Bonus Action even if it has the Action requirement. A Cantrip can be cast first using a Bonus Action as long as a levelled spell is cast in the same turn as the Action. 0hp rule When a player character hits 0hp instead of going unconscious, the character gains 1 point of exhaustion, is vulnerable to all types of damage unless you are resistant to that type through a racial trait, apart from cantrips and racial spells that can be cast at will, no other magic is available to the character, and any attunement to items become null/inactive. At the start of their turn the character must make a death saving throw as normal, either gaining a success or failure. Being hit again while at 0hp gains 2 failures and bodily harm/severe wounds. (Will be discussed at time of occurance) Actions that can be taken are Action (to either dash, disengage, hide, interact with an object, attack once without modifiers, or cast a cantrip without modifiers) + Movement or Bonus action + Movement. Exhaustion 1 - 10 points -1 to all d20 rolls + -5ft of movement speed on point 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

How Social_Introvert creates a safe table
Everything from what to expect to any questions or concerns will be discussed in session 0 but no matter the time or day I will always be approachable even during a session to discuss or clarify something even after session 0. There will always be a 10-15 minute break partway through the session but any player may also call for a break if it is needed. I’m also 100% open to any other safety measures players wish to implement as I want everyone to be having a good and fun time both at and away from my table.
