About the adventure

This episodic "drop-in" campaign setting revolves around a job board posted at the infamous Leyline Inn, a popular tavern and adventurers' hotspot built directly above a series of ancient portals that connect to nearly every region of the Forgotten Realms. These sessions will be played in person at various locations around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Our current available locations are: -Hop and Sting Brewery: 906 Jean St, Grapevine, TX 76051 Sessions will be listed as potential "job postings" with the ideal player level requirement for entry that will cycle from beginner to veteran levels and back. At regular intervals, I will also host an introductory session for new players who would like to dive into the world of D&D and tabletop gaming. These sessions are driven by players rather than the plot. Each session is unique to the party that plays through it, and the players are welcome to stay or leave as they please (which means no long-term commitment needed!).

About me

Hail and well met! My name is Dash, and I'd love to help you run your next tabletop session! What was once a passing weekend hobby with my friends quickly became over 15 years of TTRPG experience, with 8 years as a highly recommended DM. With a background in theatre direction and project management, I love being a storyteller just as much as I enjoy creating safe, organized, and fun spaces for my players. Every session is LGBT-friendly, and my fellow neurodivergents are welcomed and encouraged to join! Some examples of what to expect from my games: - A bard that specializes in death metal - A pocket dimension that very closely resembles a 1950s American diner - Multiple chase scenes, some of which have definitely included a T-Rex and a kraken - NPCs with the worst Scottish accents in all of history Come join in on the fun! You can reach me here or on Discord at BubbaGrizz. If you have a group of people or a campaign idea in mind, please feel free to reach out to me! I would be happy to host your session and bring these ideas to life.

Character creation

Creating your character

I will post the character level requirements for each session. This can range anywhere from levels 1 to 5. For each of your stats, please roll 4d6 and drop the lowest result. If the result is less than 10, reroll 1d6 and add this to the total until you have a result of 10 or more. You may use any race or class from any 5th edition D&D sourcebook published by Wizards of the Coast. In the interest of fairness and good vibes all around the table, UA/homebrew characters will be rejected, and you will be asked to choose from one of the pre-rolled characters provided for your convenience. If you need assistance with your character creation, please feel free to message me through here or on Discord (BubbaGrizz) and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Once you've joined a session, please use this link to my Discord server for character selection, gameplay questions or character sheet verification! I will also have characters available for selection at our provided session time. https://discord.gg/aUxWDES8WV

What Dash, Your Friendly Neighborhood DM brings to the table

I will provide everything you need for the session, including: -a premade character sheet and mini figure for the session -a full set of d20 dice -pencils and scratch paper -battlemaps and terrain -enemy and NPC figures If you would like to bring your own character or items to the table, please verify your stats with me at least 1 day before your scheduled session at my email (dashcrash9217@gmail.com) or my Discord (@BubbaGrizz). Combat is geared toward "smart" encounters, often with alternative methods of achieving victory. If you're having a hard time during the fight, try to think about the situation and observe your opponents' behaviors, and you just might find an easier way to win! I tend to lean toward the "Rule of Cool" style of play; if you wanna try something neat, let's roll for it and see what happens!
