About me

Greetings Adventurers! For nearly 40 years, I've been immersed in the world of tabletop roleplaying, from the dusty tomes of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons to the intricate rules of Pathfinder 2nd Edition. My journey has taken me through countless campaigns, across numerous systems (including 3.5 and Pathfinder 1e), and even to the hallowed halls of GenCon and other conventions, where I've had the pleasure of GMing for enthusiastic players. Currently, my passion lies with Pathfinder 2nd Edition. I possess a deep understanding of the ruleset, allowing me to craft engaging encounters and dynamic storylines. But more importantly, I believe in making the game fun. My focus is on creating a collaborative and enjoyable experience for everyone at the table. I strive to weave together player choices, compelling narratives, and just the right amount of challenge to create memorable adventures. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a fresh-faced newcomer to Pathfinder 2e, I'm confident I can provide a thrilling and immersive gaming experience. I'm dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable contributing to the story. So, gather your party, sharpen your swords, and prepare for adventure! Let's explore the world of Golarion together!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be performed in Session 0 with any necessary follow-up done through Discord before Session 1. Interaction between players is encouraged to ensure a well-rounded party. I can help a player with creation through HeroLab Online or also accept Pathbuilder or PDF builds. I will load beginning character information into a Foundry VTT character sheet for each player ahead of Session 1. The characters will receive the Free Archetype optional rule as well as Gradual Ability Boosts.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A desktop or laptop PC with web browser. A free Forge player account to access the hosting site for the VTT. A Discord account to be added to the Discord server. A quality microphone/headset and stable internet connection for clear communication and uninterrupted gameplay. Webcam is optional if you wish to be on video on Discord during gameplay.

What Mike C brings to the table

I bring nearly 4 decades of TTRPG experience. Rules knowledge of the PF2e system gained from playing and running since it's inception. A Discord server for communication. Official Foundry module for the published Adventure Path. Other Foundry modules added to enhance gameplay and QoL.

Homebrew rules

Free Archetype and Gradual Ability Boost optional rules in place for character build/customization. Hero Point reminder every hour, replenishing all player Hero Points to 1 (so each player gets up to 3 Hero Points per session if used) and Keely's Hero Point optional rule (+10 on low rolls (1-10), though getting a Nat 1 back-to-back means destiny had it in for your PC and you live with the Nat 1 re-roll.
