Creating your character

We will be using pre-made characters to ensure everything runs smoothly - no need for you to fuss around with the fiddly details of character creation! You may choose your character after you sign up or at the start of the game; all characters are level one. Character options include: 🐜Chk Chk the Shirren Mystic🪄 (bugman who worships the deity of art & pain) 😺Dae the Pahtra Solarian☀️ (famous catperson who is so cool they can channel the sun) 🤖Iseph the Android Operative🔫 (nonbinary android who can sneak and snipe with the best) 😎Navasi the Human Envoy📢 (woman who leads with a loud voice and a precise shot) 🦎Obozaya the Vesk Soldier🪖 (lizardwoman with a BIG FRICKING GUN) 🧙‍♂️Zemir the Human Witchwarper⌛ (man who uses magic to pull at the threads of the multiverse)

Preparing for the session

You don't need to know the rules in advance. If you have experience with Pathfinder 2nd edition, that has a pretty similar ruleset, but fresh faces are just as welcome as veterans. You will need to make accounts with the Forge (https://eu.forge-vtt.com/account/signup) and Discord (https://discord.com/). These act as our virtual tabletop and as our communications centre, respectively. Downloading Discord onto your computer will give you a better experience than using the browser version. No download is needed for the Forge. Not sure if your computer can handle the virtual tabletop? Try the demo here in your browser: https://foundryvtt.com/demo Once you've joined the adventure I will send you a link to the specific Discord server we will be using. We will have private channels for the session, with channels for voice and text chat and links to resources. I am happy to use video, but you are not obliged to. If you do wish to use video, you will need some kind of webcam.

What Jay brings to the table

My games are all about fun! This adventure features both combat and roleplay, and I highly encourage you to do things the group finds cool. My tables are always inclusive. I provide Foundry Virtual Tabletop with music, backdrops, and virtual dice (customisable!), as well as maps. I will also provide lots of enthusiasm! We will be using my community's Discord server for our communication, with private channels for the game.

No variant rules will be used in the adventure.

How Jay creates a safe table

I will collect everyone's Lines and Veils before the session, and will place them in an anonymised list, so that everyone knows where not to tread. (Lines are things you absolutely don't want in the game, and Veils are things you are okay to have if we avoid going into detail.) Before starting the adventure, we will go over the expectations we have for one another and for the game. We will have safety tools in our virtual tabletop, such as the X-card and fast-forward buttons, and you are always encouraged to DM me during a session if you are at all uncomfortable. The content warnings listed here include the most significant 'warning-worthy' topics in the adventure. If there are other content warnings you need to know about, please let me know and we can discuss how to make you most comfortable. I am also happy to work with players to remove triggering content from the plot, as your fun and safety are what's most important.
