About the adventure
Basically you were a Ronin kicked out of your clan for whatever reason. The Scorpion offered you a place in their clan but at a steep cost. You learned the exitance of ninjas and now must become one. You now know the ways of the Shosuro infiltrator school, as well as using the abilities of your first clan. You will start at rank 1 and have the rank 1 ability of the Shosuro and your first school. Each rank you go up, you automatically gain both traits. You and your companions will learn, live, and explore the darker side of Rokugan. The true way the Scorpion live, and how honor and glory mean very different things than what the rest of the samurai cast has to deal with. You will be traveling the country. Going from mission to mission. At the moment there is no big bad villain, or an end game. The main idea is to play a different kind of L5R game than what most people play, but I also found a canonical reason to make each person more than just a ninja mechanically. I also think this is an interesting set up on character growth. After all you may be a former ronin, but the reasons of your characters leave of station could be a bunch of things. You could've been framed, a superior messed up so bad that all beneath him also paid a price, maybe you discovered a secret that you could not bear with and consider your self honorable. However that also means with dealing with all the new dark secrets of working in the shadows of the empire. You will do things with out gaining traditional glory, but gain a new honor. A honor that only a few even in the Scorpion clan will see. You will not be a renown hero to all of Rokugan, but be praised by the higher ups of the underhand of the Emperor. Time wise this is an alternate history of 4th Ed. This takes place a little over 100 years of "The Four Winds Era" Emperor Toturi IV runs the thrown. The Mantis have the second city colony but the destroyers never happened. The Spider are still on the other side of the wall. Building, plotting, waiting. Always the dark mirror to the empire. Never an ally.

Creating your character
40 Experience points. Will have the Shosuro main school as well as one other. If you need help building a character then I can help. Please run all ideas through me first. No nonhuman or gajin characters. No characters with taint please. I mainly want to know what other school you pick as well as your advantages and disadvantages.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We we will be playing on Roll 20. Whether we use a grid base map for combat or theatre of the mind will be up to the group. I'm up to playing this for multiple groups if play style or time to play doesn't match up. We may also have a discord to keep records and talk out of character in between sessions. You will need a microphone unless if there is a group that is fine with just text chat.
What Jordan brings to the table
I don't mind cussing, but still be respectful of one another. No real hate speech. I can provide music that you can turn on or off of your own choice. Combat is a lighter to medium fill. I may get a bit more challenging on certain battles but I would warn people ahead of time. I usually have a two session safety net when it comes to new characters. 0 HP doesn't mean death for the first two sessions usually. But there will still be consequences.

How Jordan creates a safe table
Session 0 will depend on the group, but that will be free if we do one. If you feel bothered or personally attacked, please let me know so I can take care of it. I have had to pull people away from games in the past if someone is being hostile, and will do it again. But most of the time I'm really laid back.
