About the adventure
Listen up because the Funkmaster of Fate is about to lay it down and take you up, he's got high fives and low fives, the hi fi and the low fi, and when the town is down he's got the moves to get around! This little album is gonna take you way back - back to the groovy 1970s and let me tell you we got the funk and we got the fists. Its a story about the most righteous boss and I do mean Boss - King When. This guy got around the house if you know what I mean, but not one fighter could ever touch him - he could see any cat comin from a mile away and peace out. His gang too - gone like the dawn when the fuzz showed. Then one day, these new cats came to boogie and things got outta sight. Get your groove on in this way over the top, wacky adventure where everybody will indeed be Kung Fu fighting. This story will have both action and comedy in pretty heavy doses. Expect most challenges to be resolved with fists, feet and a KYAI shout! Some touchstones include The Last Dragon (Shonuff!), Big Trouble in Little China, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Warrior (the show), Shaft, Super Ninjas, The Golden Child, and Remo Williams. Characters in this game will be hokey, a little goofy, over the top and steeped in Martial Arts jargon and peppered with wise sayings. This campaign will start the characters as beginning players in Session 0, who will grow as the campaign progresses. New players may join and existing players may switch characters between stories. This is a sort of jump in - jump out game. When a new character sheet needs to be made, I will set a free session up with the player to help make the character.

About me
A man of many hobbies, but table top roleplaying will always be my favorite one. I have been playing various RPGs for 43 years, and GMing for most of that time. What I live for in gaming is those special moments when something happens and the entire table laughs so hard they have trouble breathing. The moment when in a horror game you actually feel a skin tingling fear. When RPG pirates are so moved by camaraderie that one player writes a sea chanty about it to sing in game. When a perfect plot element comes together and we all cheer. To me that is the way to "win" an RPG - to create real fun for the whole group. I believe that all sorts of approaches can create that fun - crunchy or role play heavy, old systems and new systems, theatre of the mind and tactical role play. My intent is always to try make that possible for everyone at the table through things like sharing the spotlight, calling out your character backstory, and creating stories that revolve strongly around a given character. I also endeavor to never leave you "stuck" for a way forward on a plot. I aspire to be a fan of the player characters.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during Session Zero, before the game proper starts. Characters will be starting characters in Feng Shui2. The characters will be created in Roll20, where will have the character sheets, virtual table top, and background music.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need Discord for communication and scheduling. Players will need Roll20 for Virtual Table top, character sheets and roleplaying.
What GM Dayv brings to the table
There will be character voices (as silly as I can make them) and there will be ambient music in Roll20 (funky music if possible). I embrace Rule of Cool. Feng Shui is not very tactical, but this is a fighting game and most situations will be resolved by fighting or tests of character.
Homebrew rules
Player character death will be uncommon unless the player wants the character to die. Characters can survive extremely unlikely circumstances, and we will explain that in ridiculous ways in game.

Safety
How GM Dayv creates a safe table
There will be a channel for my Lines and Veils document and a version for the players to fill out and upload. I will go over my safety concerns in Session 0 when we make characters. I will also have safety tools in Roll20 (X Card).
