About the adventure
Long ago, a war between gods of good and evil scoured the surface of the world of Exandria. Both the noble Prime Deities and the selfish Betrayer Gods imbued their mortal champions with supernatural gifts that granted them strength enough to challenge their divine foes. The greatest of these champions who received the blessings of three Prime Deities to save the world from the apocalyptic power of the Betrayer Gods. Centuries later, all knowledge of this godlike hero has been lost to time, and two groups of adventurers are called upon to retrace this mythic hero’s steps and free him from his timeless prison. The tale begins in lands familiar to Critical Role fans—the war-scarred wastes of Xhorhas and the glimmering oasis city of Ank’Harel—but ultimately stretches beyond the Material Plane to a realm of lightless despair known as the Netherdeep.

About me
ive been playing dnd for 8 years now. as for GM expirence ive ran a handfull or so of one shots over thoes years, and a 3 year long campaign where we play about once every 3 weeks, we started off inperson but a year ago one of the PCs moved to another state which is when we decided to start playing online using the tale spire VTT to fasilitate our game. I have a great passion for the game, always trying to find new ways of bringing joy to my players.

Creating your character
character creation will happen at the end of session 0, however its a good idea for you to know the basics of your character before hand. during seesion 0 we will discuss where we want the campagn to start, at level 1 or 3, if its level 3 you will need a reason as a group for you all to be travling together and how you met. i recomend you all come to the table with your own idea of how you met and why you're together, or talk about it in the discord chats before hand. if level 1, then you will need a reason for why you would be at a whear house, that has conections to the Revelry in the outer city of the kryn capital Rosohna. for the actual mechanics stats will be rolled by 4d6 taking of the lowest one each time, or standard array, you can use any offical D&D 5E linages, classes/subclass, backrounds, feats and spells, along with any of the previously mentioned that can be found in obojima, and Tal'dorei Reborn. homebrew is on the table but must be aproved by myself before being added to the game. gunslinger, and blood hunter are both alowed and you get a feat a level 1 for your characters back story at least a short back story explaning, why you are where you are right now (usualy why you became an adventurer but you might just be starting out) where you grew up the maner in which you grew up what you are hoping for out of life 2 personality traits 2 ideals 2 bonds 2 flaws 2 good NPCs from your characters life 1 bad NPC from your characters life these can be written in length or in short sentences, but please send through something, and feel free to do more.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
in order to play this in this campaign you will need discord, discord is the system of communication and the tool we will use to call during the game. you will need a table top device that is capable of running TaleSpire or Talespire guest (free version) alternativley you can join with a freind who is willing to stream the game to you on discord. a dnd beyond acount although not necessary is receermended for character creation, character art, again not necersary but would help me a lot for getting a digtal mini that matches your dream. players can use digital or physical dice
What Molly brings to the table
i will try and provide immersive voices and sound effects but unfortunately for you and me i am not matt mercer. i focus on creating a story and providing the path for you to go forward, made from the bricks of the choices that you make in backstories and at the table. as for roleplay i bring plenty of NPCs for you to interact with however most interactions with these NPCs will have to be started by you, i will bring them in every once and a while but as to not push them apon you i leave the decision to you. there will be plenty of down time inbtween plot moving scenes and adventures for you to interact with characters both controlled by me and your fellow players. in general i highly incurage role play to your highest level but it is not forced by any means. i create intricate 3 dimensional battle maps, that more often then not have interactive elerments, so you always have secondary objectives, and places to go. With a fair amount of homebrew creatures that have unique abilites to keep you on your feet. the combats i run will always have somthing for you to do and somewhere for you to be. ill try and work with you all, as much i can to make sure when we sit down at the table you get everything you're wishing for and hopefully more.
Homebrew rules
Healing Potions when drinking a healing potion you can use a bonus action to roll for the health or an action to take the full posible amount. alternativly you can use a action to administer it to another person and roll for the amount healed. Crunchy Crits when you land a nat 20 to hit a creature with an attack, you roll damage as normal, and then you add the max amount of damage you could have rolled. Flanking as long as i can draw a line through the enemy that you and an ally are both within 5 feet of and engaged with you get advantage on the attack Death Rattle on your final failed death saving throw, you can move up to half your speed and make 1 action as a final hurrah, this final action can not change your incoming death. I know a guy at one point in the campaign a Player Character can make an action to call apon a previously established NPC (either during the game or during your backstory) for help. this npc still acts of their own will, but will do whatever they can justify to help you (a gaurd gives you the keys to a gate, a wizard lends you a old tomb, a cleric gives you vital imformation about a lost legend).

How Molly creates a safe table
Note not everything in the content warnings will definetly happen they are just all things brought up in the module that can be taken out if you are not comfortable with them. we will have a session 0 to disguss the content warnings, however it is to be noted that the core of this module is of dark origins and a person who lived a tragic life i will also set times at the end of sessions so if people wnat to talk about anything after the session in a debreffing they have the ability, my dms are open for if they feel uncomortable in a scene they can send me a message to stop slow down, or whaterver they need in the moment
