About the adventure
Welcome to Mishdari, a city of monumental ambition and ancient tradition. Its Roman-inspired Republic asserts itself through sweeping marble aqueducts, regimented avenues, and the thunderous passage of war elephants through crowded streets. Life flows through the city’s vast network of canals, where gondolas carry merchants, pilgrims, and whispers of power between bustling markets and quiet temples. Mishdari is a place where grandeur and danger coexist. The same waters that sustain the city also conceal rivalries, conspiracies, and threats waiting to surface. Behind every polished façade lies tension, and every district holds something worth fighting over—for wealth, influence, or survival.

About me
I started playing D&D right after High School with my friends. I have been DMing ever since, and have been creating my own Homebrewed worlds and rulesets that long as well.

Creating your character
I prefer to create characters as a group, to that end; I'll let you know the details during our Session Zero.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a DNDBeyond account, Discord, and Roll20.
What MadKingAd brings to the table
I specialize in collaborative storytelling, where your choices directly shape the narrative. Expect descriptive narration, engaging NPCs, and a balance of tactical combat, political intrigue, criminal undergrounds, and ample roleplaying opportunities.
Homebrew rules
Critical hits: I use the Perkins Crit (Max Plus Dice) Death saves: I lean toward keeping them private (DM and player only), but I don't mind having them public if the group prefers that. Potions: Drinking a potion is a bonus action, but administering it to anyone else is an action.

Safety
How MadKingAd creates a safe table
There will be a session zero, where we will discuss lines and veils; I'm always available via discord (though I do work a full time job and can not be on my phone at work). I use a "pause" button as a stand-in for X card. Essentially, if anything comes up that wasn't already covered in Session Zero; you can DM me or say pause in chat and we will address it immediately and retcon as needed. After every session I will devote 30 minutes to any post game wind down and I will extend that if particularly heavy content occurred (or if a player requests it, within reason)
