About the adventure
New York, 2155. Megacorporations own everything: housing, healthcare, security, information, even life itself. If you can’t pay, you don’t matter. When a corporate hospital cuts power to its poorest ward over a billing dispute, people are left to die quietly and legally. In this campaign, you will play members of a resistance trying to break a system designed to grind people down without becoming the very thing you hate. You’ll move through a city divided by contracts and access, follow fragile leads through districts shaped by wealth and neglect, and make hard choices about who you can save and what it costs to fight back. This game is about: • Navigating a world where every action has consequences • Uncovering how power really works and where it’s vulnerable • Protecting people while dismantling the systems that exploit them This game is for you if you: ⚖️ Enjoy morally complex choices with no easy answers 🔥 Want action, tension, and meaningful consequences 🏙️ Like dystopian futures that feel uncomfortably close to reality This game is for intermediate or experienced TTRPG players. You don't need Draw Steel experience, but you do need a decent understanding of at least one system and a willingness to learn the mechanics of a new one. Why Draw Steel? Draw Steel is highly tactical, co-operative, and cinematic. And, though it assumes a fantasy setting, it is surprisingly easy to reskin into alternative settings, thanks to deliberate design choices by the developers.

About me
I was that kid who sat in the sandbox for hours building castles, imagining worlds, making sound effects and talking to myself, late into the afternoon, until I had been bitten by ALL the mosquitoes and it was too dark to see anything. 30 years later, I'm still that kid. Only now, I get to take others along for the ride. As a DM, I have the most fun seeing players meaningfully engage with my world, become attached to it, and in the process become co-creators of an epic story.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen before Session 0 using standard Draw Steel rules. You will work with me to reskin existing options to suit that character you have in mind for the game. Your character will start at level 1. Character creation will happen on Forge Steel. You don't need to own the rules or buy anything. Everything you need is available on Forge Steel.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: • Access to a personal computer or laptop with a stable internet connection • Microphone and headphones (earbuds with a microphone that works well) • A Discord account (it's free). Then, you'll need to. 1. Join the Discord server 2. Work with me to create your character 3. Wait for the game! Rolls will be on the VTT, Owlbear Rodeo You don't need to read all the rules ahead of time; I'll be explaining as I go.
What Simon brings to the table
• An entirely original setting and adventure • Custom battle maps • Artwork (I do use AI to assist) • Ambience and music • Knowledge of the rules • I do my best to voice characters, but I'm no voice actor • A friendly Discord server where you're welcome to ask as many questions as you like
Homebrew rules
We'll be using the standard Draw Steel rules, but they will be reskinned to fit the setting. Otherwise, everything is Rules as Written (RAW).

Safety
How Simon creates a safe table
I believe in role-playing in a safe and supportive environment, so open table discussions are encouraged. Draw Steel is a combat-centric game, and in combat, opponent death is frequent, but I won't describe those deaths in gory detail. The setting may also prove triggering, as themes of human dignity, poverty, oppression, and violence will be common. You are always free to step away, no questions asked, and my door is always open after the game to discuss anything that concerns you. During the game, we will take a break in the middle to help everyone stay relaxed and fresh.
