About the adventure
Welcome potential Pathfinder adventures! Shattered Star is a fantasy adventure set in Varisia, a place where ancient ruins are everywhere and history has a bad habit of coming back to cause problems. The game starts in Magnimar with what seems like a pretty straightforward Pathfinder job, but it quickly spirals into a much bigger story about an ancient artifacts, powerful magic, and why some things probably should’ve stayed buried. This campaign is very much about exploring strange places and uncovering old secrets. You’ll be delving into forgotten vaults, fighting weird monsters, and running into magic that doesn’t always behave the way it should. There’s a strong theme of temptation throughout—these shards are powerful, and using them can be incredibly helpful… but never without consequences. A lot of the fun comes from deciding how far your characters are willing to go. Playstyle wise, this is a dungeon-heavy, action-forward game. Expect tactical combat, puzzles, traps, and big dungeon set pieces where teamwork and smart choices really matter. There’s plenty of room for roleplay, especially with NPCs, rival treasure hunters, and factions. Though the focus is on exploration, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of surviving somewhere dangerous and coming out stronger. This game is for players who enjoy classic fantasy adventuring: kicking in doors (or very carefully not kicking them), arguing about cursed loot, laughing when plans go wrong, and watching characters grow into legends over time. If you like exploring every corner of a map, uncovering ancient lore, and playing in a world that reacts to your choices, you’ll probably have a great time here.

About me
Hello! My internet handel is Zantilis but my name is Branden. I'm 36 years old and have been playing dnd since I was a kid. My grandfather was my first gm and we played second edition with myself and my mom as players. Funnily enough in each game I dm or gm I usually have a small Easter egg of my mom and grandpa in the game, usually they're merchants of some kind. Speaking of dming; I have been a dm since 2006 and have run numerous games set in the same world. I usually have at least 3 players in a group or at max 6 people. My experience with tabletop games is varied. I have experience with: pathfinder 1st edition, dnd 2nd edition, 3rd edition, 4th edition, 5th edition, fallout 2d20, The alien rpg system, star wars 5e, and fantasy flights star wars rpg. If there's a system my players want to play that I don't have experience with, I will go out and learn the system for the players benefit because we're all here to enjoy a fun and exciting game.

Creating your character
We will handle character creation during session zero. We will be using either point buy or standard array for abilities. Items and gold will be handed out during session zero.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using roll20 for the game, Discord for the voice and chat, and your own imagination!
What Branden brings to the table
I do my best with character voices and noises. There will be some music available during the sessions. Combat will be brutal and they will go for the kill in certain situations. I want you guys as players to think before you rush headlong into a situation because the enemies might have a trap or two lying around that could turn the fight in their favor.
