About the adventure
Fate Forlorn RPG is a dark fantasy game that combines the lethal exploration of the OSR with the streamlined and rules-lite mechanics of the NSR movement. The world and atmosphere is heavily inspired by works such as Jim Henson's The Storyteller, Over the Garden Wall, Elden Ring, The Village, The Brother's Grimm, and Hellboy. The world is in ruin, magick is ancient and dangerous, and creatures of myth and fantasy are no friends of humans. This will be both a narrative and dungeon-delving campaign, focusing on an episodic town-to-town story. Exploring the dangerous dark places for quest and coin is not only essential to "level-up" your character, but even just to get by; food, medicine, and shelter all cost gold, so you better start adventuring!

I'm originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, but I currently live in Tokyo, Japan. I speak English and Japanese, and a little bit of Mandarin. I'm a writer, animator, artist, conlanger, worldbuilder, and GM (as you can probably tell)! I started running tabletop RPGs shortly after trying them for the first time, and I’ve been hooked ever since. There are few experiences more satisfying than running a game and watching the chemistry between characters come alive. I got my first taste of D&D in 2018, and I've been chasing that high ever since. I’m a massive nerd (aren’t we all here?). Notable loves of mine include Star Wars, The Dark Crystal, The Lord of the Rings, The Legend of Zelda, the works of Studio Ghibli, and space horror like Alien and Dead Space. What Keilan brings to the table
I will provide an ever-expanding world for you to explore and change through your actions. Every session will typically contain each of the three pillars (exploration, roleplay, combat) and will be fully scored by curated playlists to set the atmosphere. I love exciting, dynamic encounters that force players to think on their feet and plan carefully. This is a lethal game, so failure may lead to character death!
Homebrew rules
This game will be run using the Fate Forlorn ruleset.
