About the adventure
This campaign is set as a horror campaign where your players find themselves trapped in an alternate plane called Barovia. You and your fellow party members must find away out and back to your normal plane of existence! What chaos will you find yourselves in? How will you survive? Will you make it out in time?!

About me
Hey folks! My name is Thomas Jarvis, and I’m based in the Northwestern United States. I recently transitioned out of the U.S. Army after six years of active service, and I bring that same teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail into the games I run. Outside of tabletop gaming, I’m also an intermediate blacksmith. That work feeds directly into my love of craftsmanship, problem-solving, and building things with purpose, which carries over into how I design and run games. I come from a military background and enjoy creating collaborative, tactical, and memorable scenarios with my players. I’m just as excited to see where the story goes as you are, and I do enjoy coming up with fun NPC voices along the way 😜 I primarily run Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, focusing on fun and creative roleplay, intense tactical combat, and strong character-driven adventures. I also run the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Fantasy Flight Games for players interested in a more cinematic, narrative-focused system. Before transitioning out of the Army, I worked as a communications specialist, helping people learn new systems, tools, and skills. That background carries over directly into my games. I’m patient, clear, and genuinely enjoy teaching. New players are always welcome, and I enjoy helping people experience their very first adventure. There’s nothing quite like stepping beyond the wire for the first time. My table is meant to be a safe, structured environment where players can relax, stay immersed, and enjoy the game without outside-world stress bleeding into the experience. We play tabletop RPGs to escape the real world for a few hours and focus on telling stories, taking creative risks, and having fun together. Creating your character
Firstly, you'll want to join our discord channel here! https://discord.gg/ATqXs877n2 Once you're there, please take a minute to view our rules, (including those listed specifically for this adventure) and the safety tools we'll be using. You may customize your character using any of the races/classes from the Player's Handbook, Tasha's, and Xanathar's. I'll also help you to integrate D&D Beyond with Discord so that all your rolls transfer right over! You may customize your character using any of the races/classes from the Player's Handbook, Tasha's, and Xanathar's. All characters will start at level 1 unless we've already started the adventure, in which case you can create a character at whatever level the party is currently at! If you are unsure which character to play, let me know and I will help you choose a race/class combination that will fit the character you want to play! I am currently integrating Hero Forge miniatures into all of my games! You may use this program to create a custom mini of your character for the adventure as well!
