About the adventure
Welcome to the frozen frontier of Icewind Dale, a land locked in unending winter where the sun barely rises and survival is never guaranteed. The Ten-Towns cling to life amid howling winds, scarce resources, and whispered rumours of something ancient stirring beneath the ice. As new adventurers taking your first steps into Dungeons & Dragons, you’ll begin with simple jobs like guarding caravans, solving local mysteries, and helping desperate townsfolk, giving you an interesting setting and story that lets you learn the game as you progress. For experienced players, the Dale offers layers beneath its brutal surface: political tensions between settlements, hidden cults, forgotten ruins entombed in ice, and moral choices with no clean answers. The long winter has twisted old alliances and exposed new threats, rewarding careful investigation, resource management, and roleplay-driven decisions. The answer won't always be violence (though we all know sometimes that's just how the dice fall). As the campaign grows from level 1 onward, small acts of heroism ripple outward. What begins as local trouble escalates into a struggle against cosmic cold and ancient magic. Whether you’re new to adventuring or a veteran of many campaigns, this journey offers a slow-burn descent into isolation, horror, and hard-won hope in one of D&D’s most atmospheric settings.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi, I'm Jennylee, but you can call me Jelly. I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs for about 30 years, and for the last decade or so I’ve been running games as a Dungeon Master. I love collaborative storytelling, getting new players into the game, and keeping experienced players on their toes. In my spare time I make maps, create one-shots and campaigns, and adapt old stories to give them new life.

Creating your character
We can work together to create a level 1 character before the first session starts, or if you already have one you'd like to use, send it for review. D&D Beyond characters are welcome. Any D&D 5e (2014) books are in play.

What Jennylee brings to the table
My games embrace the Rule of Cool, and I love using customized encounter maps I've made as well as those produced for modules. I expect my players to try things I may not have prepared for and will always adjust on the fly. I try to find a balance between roleplay, combat, and individual character development for each player (if desired), and will check in on a regular basis to make sure all players are enjoying the game, and to address any concerns or questions they may have regarding the content, gameplay, and other players. Generally, I have a webcam on and like to see my players, but if they prefer to keep cam off that's fine too.

Safety
How Jennylee creates a safe table
I'll provide a document of rules for both the players and myself to follow, and have each player fill out a short document of their boundaries and preferences for gameplay, roleplay, and story themes. Session zero is a place to discuss characters, connections, and go over concepts like safety tools, aftercare, breaks, bleed, and more, for those unfamiliar with them.
