About me

You've found the right place. I'm Bails, and I am the Game Master you have been searching for. Whether you are searching for dynamic roleplay in a "living world" or to test your steel on challenging foes I am here to help create a memorable journey tailored to your group! I focus on weaving your character's backstory, ambitions, flaws, and relationships into an experience that caters to your interests. I have participated in voice acting for small projects around the internet, and love bringing your favorite NPCs to a new level. My playstyle focuses on more grounded games, but I always make sure that they are inclusive and never shy away from classic DnD shenanigans. I am very familiar with the rules, but I am always open to hearing out ideas, especially if they are creative. I will always provide handouts in game, dynamic hd maps, ambient music, provide all books, and more. ** Please note if there is an official module you would like I can and will run it for you.** My availability can be discussed but mostly revolves around Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Let's craft a new story together!

Character creation

Creating your character

I will work with you to develop your character, so do not worry if you are unfamiliar with how to do this! Character Creation will take place before Session 0 on D&D Beyond using the books provided in your campaign link.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To keep things smooth and immersive, here’s what I ask from players before joining the table: • Have Discord installed with a working microphone (headphones encouraged to avoid echo) • Use a desktop or laptop computer – Foundry VTT does not support mobile or tablets • Stable internet connection – Foundry runs best with solid bandwidth and low latency • Schedule a time to create a character with me before session 0 • Be on time – Respect for everyone's schedule helps keep the game fun and consistent • Bring a collaborative mindset – This is a shared story; teamwork and creativity make it shine

What Bails O'Hay brings to the table

• Living world design (events unfold with or without player action) • Session recaps (written or spoken summaries of previous sessions) • Handouts, journals, and lore documents for in-game reading • Scheduled consistency (reliable session times, with clear communication) • Onboarding help (session zero ((covers safety tools as a group, along with introductions to other players)), and rules help for new players) • Tools like safety cards or content warnings for respectful play • Fair, fast rulings and follow-up rules clarifications

Safety

How Bails O'Hay creates a safe table

I will privately send Veils and Lines documents to be filled out and sent back to me prior to Session 0. During Session 0 I will distribute a master document which will include all Lines and Veils without names. We will take a moment to read them and acknowledge them before continuing. X, N, and O cards should be directly messaged to me privately in discord.
