About the adventure

My first time running a game on this site. But I'm super excited and hoping you want to come along with me for this ride. Story summary: Accused of regicide for the assassination of a corrupt king and queen, a crime they did not commit, a local adventuring party awaits trial and likely execution. Their only ally is Prince Lashal, the late monarchs’ youngest son, who believes in their innocence and is willing to secure their freedom… at a cost. The true heir to the throne is Lashal’s older sister, Princess Ariadne. Eight years ago, she was chosen to bear the might of the Amazons and ventured into a vast, labyrinthine jungle to claim the legendary blade Hallowhym. She never returned, and the kingdom has been left in political limbo ever since. Lashal offers the party a bargain: find his sister, bring her home alive, and their names will be cleared. The jungle she entered is a place of shifting paths, treacherous terrain, and foes that are as absurd as they are deadly. Somewhere within it, Ariadne continues her hunt for the sacred sword—and the truth of what became of her may be far more complicated than the legends suggest. Will the party survive the wilds, uncover the fate of the lost princess, and restore the rightful heir to the throne?

About me

Hello there. I have been Game Mastering for about five years with various systems. I mostly run games that are a mix of lighthearted fun with intrigue and mystery sprinkled. (If you can't tell, big fan of Dimension 20 here.)

Character creation

Creating your character

I will give you a link to a discord server. I plan to have a free session 0, because that seems most fair to me. Where we can all meet and discuss character creation and other facets about the campaign. Including safety tools and things that are off-limits.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should have a Discord account, access to Google Docs for character sheets, and, since we will be playing through Discord, a working microphone. A working camera is preferred but optional.

What Michael Allen Zoeller brings to the table

I will provide a fun interactive experience with silly bits and drama. A mix of both. I enjoy using character voices when it makes sense. When its something I think I have enough acting chops to pull off. I will admit that almost all of my voices, you can still tell that it's me. I'm no Matt Mercer or Brennan Lee Mulligan but I still enjoy doing it because I find it fun and engaging. As for music, I like having a music bot on discord to add in ambient sounds or background noises.

Homebrew rules

As for homebrew, I do intend to keep the game for the most part as it is. I reserve the right to change if things don't work out well. But I believe Daggerheart as a system is wonderfully designed. And I want to play it as is. As for homebrew content, mostly because I have only run Daggerheart a few times and this is my first time running a game on this site.

Safety

How Michael Allen Zoeller creates a safe table

I take player safety quite seriously. Lines and veils will be discussed. Either during session 0 or privately if someone is uncomfortable bringing it up there.
