About the adventure
Thirty years have passed since the Battle of Endor, and the galaxy stands at an uneasy crossroads. The great legends of the Galactic Civil War have become stories, their victories remembered in history holos and fading memories. The New Republic attempts to shepherd stability but its reach is uneven, its confidence frayed by distance and complacency. On the fringes, where old wounds never fully healed, whispers speak of a new power; of strength and order under black banners. It is an age defined not by triumphant rebellion, but by inheritance. Many find themselves crushed beneath the weight of what was won, what was lost, and what was left unfinished. The Force itself feels restless, calling to those who grew up in the long shadows of the Old Guard. Our story begins on Basteel, a frigid world far from the Galactic Core, where survival breeds ingenuity and loyalties are earned, not assumed. Here, a new generation crosses paths: pilots, force-sensitives, idealists, cynics, and survivors whose lives have never known an Emperor, only the consequences of his fall. As the shadowy Neo-Imperialists extend their influence through covert cells, secret fleets, and clandestine raids; Basteel becomes a quiet flashpoint in a much larger struggle. The heroes who rise here are not chosen by prophecy or legacy, but by action. The torch is no longer passed with ceremony; it is seized in moments of desperation, courage, and defiance. What begins as survival will become resistance, and resistance may yet decide the fate of a galaxy once more.

About me
Hiya! My name is Tyler, I've been playing and running TTRPGs for the better part of a decade now! I grew up on an abundance of Fantasy and Science Fiction / Science Fantasy, with my two big influences being Tolkien's Legendarium and The Star Wars Universe (both Old and New Canon). I enjoy telling stories, crafting dramatic conflict and watching my players overcome hardship to become heroes! I started my GM-ing journey in 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons, but I've also fallen in love with Fantasy Flight Game's Edge of the Empire Star Wars system, as well as dabbling a bit with 7th Edition Call of Cthulhu. My biggest goal as a GM is to make sure everyone is having fun and telling a story that will stick with folks!

Creating your character
We will hold a Session Zero via Discord, with individual assistance if need-be. Characters will be starting at the FFG System's equivalent of "Level 1".
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use Roll20 for Character sheet management, while using Discord for Voice/Video chat and dice rolling via a Discord DiceBot.
What Tyler Upton brings to the table
Players can expect a lovingly crafted version of the Star Wars universe drawing from both old Legends Canon and New Canon ideas, a campaign focused on intertwined and cinematic narrative storytelling, and a GM who above all wants to tell a good story and give everyone a fun experience. As a GM I do try to give voices to all of my characters, I embrace the Rule of Cool and I have a deep love of all things Star Wars going back twenty years!
Homebrew rules
I tend to use some common homebrew for expediency, such as alternate Space Combat rules in order to streamline play to be less clunky. I also have a few of my own homebrews, such as a narrative system of determining the color of one's lightsaber upon construction based on the characters Emotional Strengths and Weaknesses.

How Tyler Upton creates a safe table
I use OptionalRule's RPG Safety and Consent Form to start, in order to gage everyone's comfortability. Any issues players have can be freely brought up during the Session Zero or individually as well. During the course of the campaign proper I always check in and make sure everyone is doing ok and having fun.
