About the adventure

Every year, the residents of the rural town of Diggerby Hill partake in the Midwinter Festival. This local practice celebrates overcoming the hardship of winter, but also the compassion and warmth to be found in the community. Yet this year, the festivites are threatened by a gang of rat-taming, joy-hating goblins! If someone doesn't stop them, they'll eat all the cookies, steal all the presents and burn down the Midwinter Pine! These acts of vandalism seem random... but are they? Diggerby Hill’s citizens are not as selfless as they would like to believe, and dark secrets might just come to light... Smash unruly toys! Fight living cookie dough! And save the town of Diggerby Hill in How the Gobs Stole Midwinter! --- Please note this is a PLAY BY POST game! What is Play by Post? - Play-by-post (PbP) is a way of playing a tabletop role-playing game through written messages instead of live sessions. - Players and the GM post messages our Discord channel - Each post describes: what your character says, what they do, sometimes what they think or notice - Posts happen asynchronously - You don’t all need to be online at the same time How my Play by Post games work: - I will respond at least 3-4 times every 24 hours - Battlemaps will be provided on Roll20 - Combat is done in this order: players > monsters > players and so on (this is to keep the game moving) Why Play by Post? Play-by-post often: - has more descriptive prose - allows inner monologue and detail - feels closer to collaborative fiction - gives time to think before acting Great if you: - Have a busy schedule - Have social anxiety about voice chat - Love writing and character depth As always message me if you have any questions. I look forward to rolling with you at the table!

About me

Hi, I'm Lydia! As a child I'd always loved to role play, and the day I realized we can still role play for fun as adults was a beautiful one. I fell in love with D&D 5 years ago and have DMed for 2 years. My goal is to have epic adventures together while making sure everyone has a great time.
