About the adventure
Welcome ... to Rex Island! Rex Island is the world's greatest theme park. They spared no expense; featuring state-of-the-art ride systems, and unparalleled rollercoasters. But the grandest attraction of all, is that Rex Island is the only place on the planet where you can see Dinosaurs that have been brought back from extinction. But something has gone terribly wrong ... As one of only a handful of survivors, you must stay alive long enough to find a way off the island. This game runs on the "Escape from Dino Island" system. Bring your character ideas with you and we can work together to make them compatible with the character archetypes of the system. The game is planned as a 2-shot (with a free session zero, so we can go over game rules, character creation and group boundaries). Hold onto your butts! You're in for a bumpy ride!

Creating your character
Escape from Dino Island has the following "Hero" character archetypes: - The Doctor - The Engineer - The Hunter - The Kid - The Palaeontologist - The Soldier - The Survivor The game advises that you should aim not to have 2 or more players as the same class of "Hero". If you want to use a custom "Hero" I'm open to suggestions, but they will need to be signed off by me and the rest of the players, (if we are in agreement that it is fitting and balanced.)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Re-watching a Jurassic Park film/ TV series is probably the best way to prepare! Reading up on the "Escape from Dino Island" rules (or any other Powered by the Apocalypse system) would be super helpful - but isn't mandatory or required. - Roll20 and Discord accounts are required by players. Links to both will supplied - I'll invite you to fill out a Lines & Veils Document - Working microphone is essential - (Webcams optional)
What Alexander brings to the table
The game is theatre of the mind, but I supply a LOT of visual aids and ambient music for immersion. I use a combination of custom art that I have made and AI art.
Homebrew rules
I'm a fan of Rule-of-Cool. I'm open to considering any player suggestion on how to modify the game to best fit our group.

How Alexander creates a safe table
You will be invited to fill out a Lines and Veils document anonymously before Session Zero. In Session Zero we will review the document, and establish the boundaries of what is appropriate for our game and what can be shared in the Discord Server. You will have the ability to flag me privately during a play session if you feel uncomfortable for any reason. If you require the game to stop, it will immediately, and I will do so without questioning you or drawing attention as to why. In terms of tone, players should have the general expectation that it will match the film series of Jurassic Park, with horror and violence being an integral part of the story telling. It will not stray into other dark themes.
