About the adventure
Every night at midnight, the bell of Black Hollow tolls from an abandoned chapel, and by dawn another villager has vanished without a trace. The townsfolk whisper that the priest who once tried to bind a false saint failed—and now the thing that answers the bell has awakened, hungry for souls. This is a fun Gothic horror with moments of humor and heroism that is beginner friendly. I like my players to have a good time so I run the rule of cool as the main focus of the game is to have fun. You will encounter several NPC's and creatures in a fully immersive homebrew world of horror, humor and heroism.

About me
Hi I'm Kyle and I have been playing D&D for several years now and been DMing for a couple years now. I am an avid lover of animals and a portion of my earnings go to helping local rescues care for the animals in our local shelters. I run the rule of cool and am pretty laid back. I enjoy building home-brewed worlds and creatures for players to explore and fight.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation can be done either digitally or pen and paper and characters will start at level 5. Your stats will be determined using a standard array or the point buy system. Please use content from Wizards of the Coast or parties recognized by them. Homebrew is allowed upon GM approval and there are no restrictions on character species or classes. Please have characters ready to go for session and if you have any questions regarding your character please reach out asap so we can get it all hammered out prior to session start.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I do ask that all players have a Discord account for voice/video chat and a character sheet ready to go whether digital or pen and paper. I would suggest having a notepad and something to write with for note taking and possible special item drops.
What Kyle brings to the table
I am a GM that follows the Rule of Cool and likes to do the occasional character voice with ambient sounds at times. Players are encouraged to do voices for their characters but its not a requirement as I only ask that you do what makes you comfortable. The biggest thing at my table is to just have fun.
Homebrew rules
The biggest rules at the table are any potion or poison use is a bonus action, Crits are max damage plus a roll, magic users can cast a cantrip and a leveled spell in the same action and I allow spell weaving as well. The only other rules are no Discrimination or Racism at the table in game or out and just have fun.

How Kyle creates a safe table
We will have a brief pre-session meeting to go over everyones possible triggers and how people would like to address them if they happen to arise during session and players are encouraged to take breaks as needed as mental health is high priority and should be taken very seriously.
