About the adventure
Inspired by: RWBY, Kingdom Hearts, Loki, Strixhaven, and much more! What Awaits You: A continent floating in the Ethereal Sea, A stronghold that houses a large silver that contains every story that has been told and yet to be told. Nearby, a school training the next generation of Key Masters to defend the stories from creatures of Darkness. A School of Combat and Magic: Haven Academy will teach you what it means to be a Key Master and how to succeed at being one. During this curriculum you'll be pushed to your limits on the field. But still be able to enjoy yourself through the social events they put on (Like the Moonfall Ball!). High Fantasy, Whimsical: The world of the Key Master's is a lot of high fantasy fun! Many different people of many different walks of life can be found here! Which in turn means their technology, their aesthetics, and traditions! Ancient Secrets: The History of the Key Master is beyond ancient. Through the eons of stories somethings are best left buried... or are they? Travel through stories, meet ancient enemies, and see what secrets have been hiding between pages. Our Story Begins: Three generations after strange creatures of darkness began appearing in stories and around the city of Haven. The small number of Key masters realized that something big was coming. And decided to build Haven Academy to train Key Masters by the masses to confront this darkness. The acceptance letters have just been sent out to a new generation to see if they have what it takes to graduate Haven Academy. Your Story Begins: Come to your own session 0 and find out!

About me
Hey there! I'm Sean and I've been DMing for almost 6 years now! I started DMing with the Starfinder Starter Set then moved over to DnD after playing in a game with my fiancé and her friends! I run primarily homebrew games just because it makes me feel more free as a DM and I thrive on player driven stories!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character Creation will be done during your individual session zero. You can come in with a character in mind and we will make it fit. Or if you have no idea we will work through some ideas and I will have plenty of resources to help guide you along the process! All characters will start at level 1, some items from The Void are allowed but please run them by me first as those are still play test content and are subject to change!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1.Demiplane: If you do not digitally own the Daggerheart Core Rulebook I will enable content sharing. 2. Discord: for our calls as well as to upload campaign graphics and such. 3. Owlbear Rodeo: is our virtual table top that we will do all of our combat on.
What SeanTheShade brings to the table
Custom Maps: Majority of the maps we will use I have created in Inkarnate specifically for this campaign. Unique NPCs: There will be some you will absolutely love! and others you will absolutely despise. All of them with their own personalities and quirks! Custom Story just for you:
Homebrew rules
So far the only homebrew rule I have considered is: Reaction Roles will use a D20 rather than a D12. However this will be discussed with the table prior to the start of the game! And if any more need to be added everyone involved will discuss it!

How SeanTheShade creates a safe table
I will have a private meeting with every player prior to the start of the campaign to go over the consent and safety checklist that I will always keep on hand for everyone. If a session becomes a little more intense with roleplay or PC/NPC death, then we will take about 10-30 minutes after the session to just talk and ease ourselves out of that state of mind, not all players have to participate in this but I will always leave the option open. We will also take breaks throughout the session. Usually it'll be one 5 minute break and one 10 minute break but this can change based on how the individual or group is feeling. Before the campaign beings I will also have a session 0 with everyone to make introductions and go over general safety and gameplay we want to see going forward (I can't promise any awkward ice breaker questions though!)
