About the adventure
Three months ago, Henry Roads and his wife disappeared in Blackwater Creek, a supposedly sleepy backwater. You're sent to find them. However, you find anything but, as whiskey flows (despite Prohibition), crowds flock, and a new religion dedicated to "The Mother" rises. Its adherents mutating. Blackwater Creek, written by Scott Dorward, is a small-town horror one-shot. Focused on how the mythos mutates the titular town, and your journey discovering the infection's origin. About me
Hi👋, I'm Franc, better known as Golvin. I'd like to be your GM. While I mainly run D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and Alien RPG, my real pleasure is trying new modules and systems. (Cowboy Bebop RPG anyone?) Which has led me to a specialization in running one-shots, often including highly detailed handouts, pre-made characters, and other player aids. I also write the Reviews from the Far Reams Substack newsletter, currently focused on helping others get the most out of Call of Cthulhu 7e modules.

Creating your character
Players can make their own character or choose one of 15+ pregenerated characters. If desired and given notice, I can provide assistance with character creation. But anyone who has not chosen by the time the game has rolled around, or given insufficient notice, will have to choose a pregenerated character.

How Golvin - One-Shot GM creates a safe table
As part of onboarding for the game, I send players my Line & Veils and ask for theirs in return. Which are then confirmed at the beginning of the session as part of a mini-session 0. During the game, if anything disturbs you, please tell me, leave an "X" in the chat, or privately message me. I will then remove the offending or skip past it. Likewise, if you feel the adventure is going in an unsavory direction but use an "N" instead. I will also check in if I notice anything is off.
