About the adventure
The Walking Dead has always been about characters facing impossible choices in an unforgiving world. In The Walking Dead Universe Roleplaying Game, you enter into the world of the dead and must face these choices head on. You can do this at any point in the timeline – encountering familiar faces and locations, or new ones – but the hardest choice will always be the same: Who are you going to be? We have seen many stories set in The Walking Dead Universe – now it’s time to see yours! THE GAME In The Walking Dead Universe RPG, you will play as people struggling to survive in a hostile world. Exceptional challenges can appear from anywhere – from the lack of essential supplies, from conflicts brewing within the group, from hidden construction flaws in your safe haven, or from approaching walkers hungering for your flesh. Expect the stress and stakes to be high. The rules are based on the acclaimed Year Zero Engine, used in Free League´s award-winning games such as the ALIEN RPG, Blade Runner RPG, Tales From the Loop RPG, Mutant: Year Zero and Forbidden Lands, but uniquely tailored for The Walking Dead Universe. Our first adventure is in Survival Mode - you aren't just seeking adventure, you are simply trying to survive. Your story begins in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, as summer turns to autumn. You have left their haven to look for two members of the group – a secret couple, newly in love – who have eloped with one of your group’s two cars, some gear, and lots of supplies. You need to locate the two runaway lovers, or at least getting back what they have stolen. Without recovering supplies, people you care about will not make it through the winter.

About me
Hail and Well Met Gamers! Some call me... Jeremy Jordan. I am an old gamer, game designer, RPG enthusiast, and have always held the belief that a game should be fun. I have worked on a lot of projects over the years, mostly D&D related. I was a Delegate for Wizards of the Coast, in addition to one of their convention staff. I helped launch 4th and 5th edition D&D, and have been playing since 1st edition. Recently I helped design and launch The Land Roleplaying System, based off of the best selling Chaos Seeds novels by Dr. Aleron Kong. In 2022 I moved 1000 miles from my player base to Florida, and am looking to once again run games for anyone willing to share a story with me. I'm happy to run D&D 3.5/4/5 for any group, and am currently setting up campaign terms for The Land Roleplaying System. I have an established Roll20 account with decent macros- please contact me if you would like to set up a gaming session. I tend to be corny - and I'm more about having fun with players than beating someone up over a ruling - and I will do my best to ensure we all have a good time.

Creating your character
We have a number of pre-made characters, and character creation is possible. The base mechanic of this game is more centered on building a community, as characters have a higher chance of becoming zombies in this game than most. You will always have a character to play. It may not be the same character as last session though :)

How Jeremy Jordan creates a safe table
I use several API's (program scripts) to speed up combat and make it easier to understand for newer players. I'm not very rules heavy if it slows down the game, but I will advise players that don't know how to play, or players that are unsure of what they should do if things slow down. As I have over 30 years of DM experience, I have a lot of improv techniques to keep things going, but I always advise players to look past their character sheet and imagine what they would do in that situation.
